HUUUUUUUUGE bonfire night labour vibes to you ladies needing them,...COME ON babies!!!

Three- so sorry to hear about your grandma, thinking of you xx

Still not written my birth story up..not a good night last night,Ethan had us up all night, it seems he doesn't like his moses basket!!.. then I've had visitors today and have been out shopping so am really tired..3 nights in a row with next to no sleep is taking its toll abit. Will get a few pics on though..will do that now while my tea cooks.

Aw congrats! He is gorgeous!! My DD didn't really like hers much at first, just thought I'd let you know a few things that worked for us, please ignore/ disregard if your not interested. It's sometimes helpful/ sometimes annoying to hear other peopes 'advice!' lol!

We would roll up a blanket and prop her legs up so she was tucked up and legs couldn't flail to wake her up, same with the arms, make like a little nest iyswim, so they can't fling out their arms and wake themselves up. Makes them feel all safe and secure- some people get on with swaddling for the same reason, but DD found this too much the other way, fussy little monkey! lol.

Also I used to warm it up, either with a hot water bottle, or by laying on her blankets while feeding her, then put them in first.

Don't know if your BF, but I would tuck a muslin in my bra and put that in with her so she had my scent right next to her.

Also I found as DD was soooooo windy, that after 5 mins of laying down all the bubbles must have settled as she would need winding straight away again, so once I knew this, I would wind her, lay her next to me on bed, then wind her again then put her in moses basket!

Awww! Hope you get a tiny bit of sleep at least. Those early days are so hard, but so amazing aren't they!

Got my sepia so hopefully i'll feel better in a few days. The chemist lady kept telling me how important it was not to touch them with your skin...like really MUST NOT TOUCH them, lol - kind of scared me a bit!

Aw they have really worked for me! I take 2 at a time about 5 times a day (it says 4x a day but you can't overdose as they are completely harmless and if I don't have them at those times, I feel awful!!)

I ran out yesterday and felt awful all day, and it has taken me a while to feel better today, so hopefully by tomorrow they will ahve kicked in again.

I don't care if some people think they are a placebo, they work for me and it makes it soooo much more bearable! It just contains in to morning and evening, rather than all day/ all night like it was before! Hope they work as well for you too!

Oooh the not touching them is something hippy dippy about our energy destroying the waters memory, which is apparently how they work. Sounds like mumbo jumbo but as I say they work wonders for me! ;) They won't make you explode or anything if you do touch them, they just won't be as effective, Mine are in a 'clicky' bottle so you don't have to touch them at all. hth.

    Morning ladies,

Lots of lovely baby pics popping up to coo over this morning, congrats again to Helen & Karen two gorgeous little babies you have :)

Welcome & congrats to sidekick, your niece is lovely.

Congrats Muso on seeing a lively beanie - brilliant isn't it?

Hope everyone had a nice bonfire night? Mine was lovely - went out with some friends to the big council fireworks (they were pants - they get worse every year, think it must be inline with cutbacks!!) & to the fair to win a fish!! I hate the win a fish stalls, so took some rubbish plastic car as my prize instead, will be straight in the charity bag :D My friends had bought us some bits & pieces from Mamas & Papas which was lovely as I'd been so nervous about telling them in the first place! So now we have lots of gorgeous blue bibs & booties for him & they were telling me everything else they'd planned to get him, so baby has his first real gifts :j

ooh just thought of something else MGEB - when you taken homeopathic remedies, you shouldn't have any mint/chewing gum etc, apparently it stops it working? or something...!

Very excited for the weekend today - tonight is fancy tesco finest meal & dvd's with OH then got my little sis coming over tomorrow night, planning to have some fireworks/sparklers & do some baking (inspired by you lot - so you'll get the blame if they're rubbish :p) then Sunday we're off out with my family for a thai lunch, mmmm yum, can stuff my face :D ooh then most exciting, on Monday we're off to look at furniture for baby, wahoo! Seriously though, where are the weeks going?? 23 weeks on Monday, eek, time is flying
    Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j

Nikkit - you can start aquanatel anytime from 14 weeks on as long as your fit to do so.

Kindof - it took me ages to track down an aquanatel class that was close enough and at the right time, as it is I have an hours + drive and a mad dash after work to get there thru traffic and there on time. I love the class tho and always feel so much better after, even tho theres always the wrestle in the changing room after! Like Always who goes to the same place its nice to sit and chat before hand.

Elasti - Sorry you didnt enjoy your class, there are a few girls at our class that dont talk much but I'd say majority of us have a good natter if we are there early enough. Most folks seem to dash off after tho but there all nice enough.

Always - missed you last night, but the pool is fixed yeay! Small class last night so guessing everyone was doing fireworks, but a few new faces :)

    EA - Ewwww!

Helen & Karen - yeay for pics, thankyou. Both of your lil bundles are adorable :D

Gisi - yes to broody, well I am.

Sidekick - don't think I've gotten around to welcoming you yet, so welcome and congrats xx

As for smelly stuff, I cant stand people who smoke and then talk right up in your face. We used to have a supervisor like this but thank goodness she left 2 weeks ago! Same with bad breath customers euyck!

Well sleeping rubbish again! seem to not be able to get comfy even with 5ft pillow :( My back and under bump seem to get sore after I lay in one position for too long. Anyone else find they keep rolling onto their back? I wake up all worried am doing lil one some damage :(

Baby girl not been very active the last day or so either so thats making me fell a lil worried too, think Ill pop to mr T's at lunch see if I cant perk her up a bit. Can't wait for today to be over, weekend off woot!

    Working on baby no2 :D
  • I got some rasberry leaf tea yesterday BOGOHP from H&B but my bump has suddenly dropped over the last day or 2 and hubby is very worried he will come early. Only because if he does come early it means hubby will have to work over christmas so i don't think he wants me to drink it lol. Before he left for work this morning he talked to bump and told him to stay put.
My ds keeps making us laugh as he keeps putting on a voice for the baby. All three of us were having a cuddle and warm up after fireworks and ds said in the babies voice ''I want to come out'' :rotfl:

Hopefully i am going to have a major tidy up today in the babies room, as long as nothing is on the floor that is.

    Evening all!

Well I had my 12 week scan today and all was well! There was a strong heartbeat and baby was kicking his legs about the whole time. I'm actually measuring at 11 + 6 rather than 12 + 4 so my EDD has changed to 21st May. If someone in the know could change the list for me that would be great.

I also signed up to take part in the study thats going on and had my blood taken. I have the worst veins in the world! Took 2 of them 15 mins to find vein. All the staff were lovely and the hospital seems really good so far so alls good!

Hope everyones doing ok and I hope we hear from PP soon.

    Muso x

    updated list for you
Dont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec

    Morning!
My last day of this week, i have the w/end off :j:beer:
Then i only have 4 days next week then annual leave starts hopefully. If they change the rotas though im screwed and will have to work. I booked my holiday on the days i think i am working based on a rolling rota, which could change at any time apparently, even though for the past year its been the same :p

Went to IL's for fireworks last night, was fun and then we had pizza hut take hut :D It resulted in me spending the night dehydrated and drinking loads of water, but it was lovely!

Miss baby was kicking really hard last night, she was kicking the left side of the bump, and i had my hand there and could feel her, then OH put his hand there and she stopped :rotfl:

Karen & Helen, both your babys are to cute! I really want my baby now hehe. Only 17 weeks and 2 days to go :D

I have a cool new Ipod app. It satisfies my list writing needs in an enviromentally friendly way :D
Yes its a list writing app!
I can have sections for different lists, so far i have a "what i need to buy for baby" list. And a "what i need to do on ML" list :money::D
    And it was free! :D

Som - We have people at work that smoke and then come and sit next to me, which results in me sitting there with my hand over my nose! lol. Its horrid isn't it?
