Yippee Helen! Congratulations and welcome to the world Ethan! I'm intrigued as to what happened, but just really pleased that you've got your little one! x x
I havent been weighed by MW since my 8 week appointment, should I have been?

Just I know my BMI is going to be over now :(

I was weighed at booking in, which I think is when they check your BMI, then I was weighed at 36 wks and 38 wks and had put on about 2 and a half stone and nothing was said about it. I think they're only concerned if you start off with a very high BMI. They don't recalculate BMI later on as far as I know otherwise everyone would be overweight/obese by the end!
Karen - Congratulations!! :j:j:j And love how fast you were out of hospital and even more so how fast you updated us on here :) Yay!!

GISI - Great bump pic, you look fab :) PS Thats the same ball I have hehe!! I will try and do a 39 wk pic tonight to post on here.

Well been out for lunch with my preg work friend today, who is due the day before me. We are both getting impatient, lol. Lunch was lovely, we went to a local farm shop and had a mooch round the shop after too, such nice goodies there but a little expensive so didnt get too much, bar some bread, some frozen croissants that I assume puff up when u bake them, nom, and a couple of frozen fishcakes :)

Had a bit of a stitch type pain in the far right of my bump since ive been home, felt like a part of baby was there causing it I think.

Hope you are all well, I am off to put dinner on now, sausages with chilli in, egg and homemade oven chips, double nom :) xx

I'd love to see your bump pic. How nice to have a friend due so close to you- I bet you'll be getting competitive about who goes first by next week!
For gods sake some docs and stuff are anniying!!!

We conceived about 2 months after moving into house lol

    MGEB so does that mean I should see MW at 8, 16, 25, 28, 31, 34, 36, 38, 40, 41

Awww EA I would feel bad as well I am a right wuss lol

That seems about right, although I think I skipped the 28 week apt with MW but did have my anti-d at that point.

EA-I think a wall of cerise with three cream would look really nice. Could you get some tester pots to try? That's the most fun part of decorating!

  • Congratulations Helen and welcome to Ethan!
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)
  • Congrats Helen - had a feeling you'd be bringing us good news today! Bigs hugs to you and Ethan - yet another lovely name ;)

Always, yes i personally think a spare room is a good idea. As i said before DD didn't leave us till 18mths, then she got her own room, but that was partly because we had a 1bed place. BF'ing is easier if bubs is your room too if you plan on doing that! If we had the spare room, i think we would have still had DD with us until i gave up breastfeeding which was when she finally sprouted too many teeth and decided to bite me all too often :D at about 7-8 months. Then she'd have gone in her own room. So if you do it like that you have plenty of time to sort the nursery ;)

Well done on all the packing by the way! x

I'm so bored. I feel as though I ought to be starting on some baking but I can't be bothered. Plus I feel hungry but don't know what to eat

And I'm having lots of BH's tonight. About 3 in the last hour.

  • Huge Congratulations Helen, thats fab news :j:j:j

GISI - Ha me and preg work friend were saying today that whoever is still waiting when the other one has their baby is gonna be gutted and itching to get on and have theirs!! Preg friend was convinced she was gonna go well early as a lot of her family did, including her mum I think, so she thinks she said she has made it even worse for herself, lol, what are we all like!! We are both going to the same hospital so there is a small chance we would be in at the same time which I think would be nice :) Im off to get into some jeans to take a bump pic as my joggers look rubbish, lol!!

Lol loving the pineapple bulk buying Boogelly, I am the same about not wanting to make my next appt, its a week Friday so I would be 2 days overdue by then, think the chances are that I will make it though!! :o

Congratulations Karen - can't believe you got back on here so quick to post lol. Can't wait to see some pics of her.

MGEB - I wouldn't worry too much about needing to see a consultant. I was just told they refer anyone who may need extra care to be on the safe side. I'm seeing a consulatant as I have ulcerative colitis, which is totally under control and hasn't bothered me in the 10 years since it was diagnosed! All it meant for me was that after talking to the midwife I had to talk to the consultant for 5 mins. Apparantly he'll want to see me a couple of times during the pregnancy to check that everything is progressing ok.

yay Helen many congrats to you too.....again can't wait to see the pics :) Looking forward to hearing the full story.

Still nothing from PP? Hope she's ok
