Beenie- Thanks for the support too! In the nicest possible way, I hope you aren't here too much longer.
EA- have your payslips looked any different? You may want to check that they haven't just put you onto ML from your original letter, I;m sure they wouldn't have but that is really bad. I can't understand why they wouldn't chase you up for your MATB1 so that they could sort thigns out, at least then you would have known about it. Your manager sounds awful, I had a manager like that when I worked in a call centre for car insurance, m aybe call centres breed people like this?!? lolBoots: £107.xx on AC :j

Payslips looked normal, just stating the hours i worked and how much i got paid.
I didn't give in a MatB1 form with the old letter so i dont think they could of put it on.
I've sent an email with the new dates and saying they already have my MatB1 for this pregnancy. And hopefully it will all be sorted.
Call Centre managers are awful! They have new rules (OH works there to) and the new rules state that your NOT to go to your team manager for anything anymore as they are busy doing other things.
Even though i thought there job was to manage a team and help with things...
OH still doesn't have his rota for next week, honestly its a bad company to work for lol0 -
EA, they're supposed to confirm your ML in writing with all the details...make sure they do this in case something goes wrong with your pay (so you've got proof).top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Yeah i thought that! I did say to my manager on the phone and in the email i've wrote they need to confirm everything. So hopefully i'll get a letter about it0 -
Hey all,
I am back from the midwife and all is happy and healthy with both me and baby. I just need to go back in 4 weeks for my next check. Whoop whoop.
On the Surestart grant; I do not receive any of the benifits listed, I am unemployed but will be claiming MA, and my partner is full time self employed with proven earnings of £50 a week. Which is all we live on at the mo (with housing benifit) . We really need some help.

I work in a call centre but for a big company & they've been great, especially my manager. She sent off my matB1 as soon as i got it with a letter from me saying when i wanted ML to start, they emailed her back with confirmation the following day & i received my confirmation in post a day later!
Then i decided i wanted to bring ML forward a week but didn't think they'd let me cos it states they need 4 weeks notice to change leaving date (unless you're off sick for pg related issues in last 4 weeks before due date) but she emailed them a new letter from me anyway to try with an amended leaving date of the following week - & they did the same again! in fact that time i got my new confirmation in post the next day.
And my manager has phoned me twice since going on ML, just to see how i am. It might help that my manager is a woman but HR have been really good as well. And we have a direct number for them on wageslips anyway.
Sorry yours are being rubbish EA.

Just got back from midwife & it was the lovely one today! Was classed as my 40 wk appt cos i'm 39+5 today. All is well with me & baby.
She put me down as 2/5 engaged :j been 4/5 for last 5 weeks or so, so that's good.
And she was explaining what happens from here. I don't go to midwife at my surgery any more with me being full term; anything from here is done at midwife drop-in clinic at childrens centre, or at the midwifery led unit where i'm going to have baby (which is really handy cos thats at the end of my street!). Next thing will be a sweep if no baby, & they would do that at midwifery led unit cos would then be same people/place who would book me in for a further sweep or induction if necessary.
Was just about to ask her when a sweep would be likely (after what you said Beenie about having to wait til actually 41 weeks) when she said they're happy to do sweeps whenever i want anytime from 40 weeks!!!! :j:j:j
So am booked in for a sweep on Friday (my due date) at 3pm! :T :j :T:j Very proud mummy to Evie Mae born 26/12/09 :jAims for 2010 - be a good mummy, lose (some) weight, clear (some) debts, be happy0 -
Guess what?!
Our actual boiler is broken now! I honestly cant belive it!
First boiler breaks then gets fixed.
Then controls for hot water and heating break and get fixed.
Now boiler has broken down again.
Im so cold i can see my breath and leaders have literally just closed!:rolleyes:
Im also very light headed from having to tip my head almost upside down so i could look into the boiler glass panel to see if there was a flame.
Can i sue them based on the fact that we were offered a house with gas central heating, but none of it works! :rotfl:
I've had to put on the plug for the emergancy back up for hot water just so i can have a bath, i just have to wait an hour for it to heat the water in the tank :rolleyes:0 -
