Evening all,
Just back from my little sisters school Christmas play - very lovelyShe was in the choir - looked like she was bored stiff throughout!!
JHA that scan pic is brilliant& the cat is a cutie - are you known locally for being a cat lover? My ex once had a box of kittens dropped on the doorstep as his mum was known as the local cat lady
They were real cuties!
EA hope you get your boiler sorted, how annoying& excellent news on OHs house over Xmas
My OH gets nothing except Xmas & boxing/bank hol Mon off, boo hoo
He does have a few days after new year though which will be lovely. & kittys - they need friends don't u know? That's how I talked OH round with our second cat
CAFC get yourself back to bed hun, sleep it off, sounds horrible
Ymakesmesmile, don't worry about twins if they're in OHs side & not your, only women carry the genes to pass on twins, i.e. they ovulate more than once each cycle, identical twins are just flukeMy OH is a twin & there are twins on his mums side so they must have the gene - looked into it all when we found out we were expecting, twins is his dream!
Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -

Thanks Som, yeah I got back to sleep eventually. Went back up to bed just after 5 and feel asleep about half past, then got up at 8 after waking a couple of times in between but not for too long. Actually felt a lot better today than I thought I would.
Ante-natal was loads better this week too so that helped, although it was just as hot. Covered breast feeding and bathing and stuff and was much better organised than last week.
Then went out for dinner for noodles with Dh before he went to work. Yum yum. Totally turning Japanese today though as was at Yo Sushi for the first time ever for lunch with Gymfriend, which was lovely!
Aless and others re “getting the baby out” plans and methods, it seems to me that if you are due anyway, there is a chance that you’ll go into labour anyway after trying something out, as you are due and baby may just choose that day to come regardless, and obviously it’s easy to say “ooh that pineapple/ lavender/ curry etc worked a treat” when you actually would have gone then even if you hadn’t eaten / bathed in/ inserted(!) it etc!!! IYSWIM! I'm sure some things do work, but it is very difficult to decide what!
Saying that, when my time comes and if I go overdue I will be trying everything possible to get the little mite out!!!
PP I had trouble with asda deliveries too (they cancelled my order cos they “couldn’t deliver it to my chosen store” even though that store is the largest supermarket in Europe!!!) But I also had issues with Tesco deliveries too firstly food when they brought me ice cream that was more like soup (store was 5 mins max from my house at the time so god knows how long it had been out of the freezer before it got to the van!) and second when they just left my parcel on the floor on the OUTSIDE of my back door – anyone could have stolen it if I hadn’t got it straight away. Hope you get your refund sorted anyway.
Jonno that’s pretty crap having such a wasted appointment, but yey for your OH going to antenatal on his own – bet there’s not many blokes who would have done that.
FR nice to see you J Glad Mw went well. Hope you manage to get the surestart grant too. Sorry I have no advice for it – I don’t qualify. I'm totally baffled by all the benefits and stuff really. I am taking 12 months ML, returning to work for 3 months (so I am entitled to better maternity pay!) then will be leaving, fingers crossed. I'm not sure if DH will be entitled to CTC or WTC or anything then though as he is self employed.
Aww no snow in Leeds today. Fingers crossed for tomorrow though!
Gemma glad everything was ok with your scan today. Make sure you carry on taking it easy!
EA I have worked in call centres before too and would never do it again! They are all the same in my eyes and not in a good way.
CAFC Hope you are ok and feeling better soon
