no point ringing , your midwife has to give you a form with all your dates on and sign it, give your MW a call , there is a 8 week delay , it should now be called

Evening ladies
Been wanting to get on but had a busy two days, Thought it was happening all early yesterday but it came to nothing. Also it was oh's birthday and our last weekend as a baby free couple so we spent most of it snuggled up and went for a meal with oh family yesterday and today went to meet a freidn for lunch. On countdown till c-section on thursday however i have a feeling that they will either say bumpers turned or they cant do it because we have everything planned arounbd it. So quick catch up has always had her lo yet. Bennie are you still here !!!! Congrats to Newbies and vibes and hugs to those in need.Darling son born 10/12/09 hopefully the 1st of many :j0 -
Hi Ladies!
I'm trying to hunt down some decent maternity wear ( why is everything so casual, I work in an office!! grrrr) that isn't isabella oliver prices. I've found a few bits I like on affordablematernity.co.uk, and was wondering if any of you have used them?0 -

How are you enjoying your second week of m/l must admit I am getting used to it now and enjoying it, I even asked my oh this morning if it was Monday Morning then moaned about having to go to work but he said " If you promised to be nice and wash up he would get me the day off work" and me being me and it being 6.30am so i said "Alright then" !!!!!!! Git. However i did also tell him he was a bad at playing hide and seek !±!! because i had a very strange dream about us playing hiding and seek. Did you manage to get to primark. Also can not remember who was asking but i have a makro cash and carry card i could lend. !!!Darling son born 10/12/09 hopefully the 1st of many :j0 -

I hate putting the tree up, with a passion. I kept snapping at DS so i've told him he can do what he likes with it and he's currently throwing tinsel on it in a way only a 6 year old could. I'd like it to look nice but i don't have the patience to do it myself.
Lou i was wondering when you were gonna come back! Yep am still here, no signs yet. I nearly sent myself into labour today in town though when i went to bank the ebay moron's cheque. Some GOOOOOOON decided to park within 2 cm of my door so i couldn't get in my car when i came back. He was still getting his ticket when i got there so when he came back i said can you move your car i can't get in my car since you're parked wonky?? And the flipping t0sser just stared at me and then walked off with his pregnant wife, so i'm assuming he parked like that so she could get out easier. I was fuuuuuuuuuuuuming i nearly ran after him and clobbered him but i restrained myself. Had to climb over my passenger seat to get in my car and was late for school. Was tempted to share some of my red paintwork with his silver car but there would have been witnesses :rotfl:
Think i'm angry today :cool::rotfl:0 -
Beenie i was the same with the tree thats why i just let the girls get on with it the pics are on my fb it looks way over the top :rotfl:
jha u have just reminded me i still havent done by birth plan  i really need to get more organised
Cant remember who mentioned about student midwives, i said i didnt mind when i was in labour with DD1 that was until a girl walked in that i went to school with  needless to say i changed my mind and rather vocally tooi didnt mind someone i didnt know seeing me like that but wasnt happy with someone i did know seeing me like that :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
scotsgirl have you tried new look and peacocks?
meltdown i intend on BF whilst i am at the hospital but as soon as i get home i will be switching to bottle, i tried with both the girls and couldnt get the hang of itbut the hospital doesnt support bottle feeding at all and its going to be too much hassle to take bottles and milk and everything into the hospital with me, and as long as everything is ok i want to be home asap anyway. But saying that was the plan with DD2 but because i didnt have her until 8.52pm there was nobody there to check her over so i could go home and i ended up havin to wait for her to be checked in the morning
Carlsberggal at my hospital it was £5 for 2 pictures  What they didnt tell you was that you had to specifically ask for them or they wouldnt give you any  I still have the little token thing which cost me a fiver coz all the scans i have had since then they have given to me for free
I have done sod all today at allinfact i have slept for most of the afternoon too :rotfl: Did get a phone call this morning to say i won 2 prizes in the school bazaar raffle though, a tin of biscuits and tickets for 4 people for hollywood bowl, cant see me bowling in this state though so thinking i might give them to my friend as an xmas present as i wasnt sure what to buy them anyway
Just got to sure there is nothin on the vouchers to say they were freebies

Had my scan this morning and I'm on.............(drum roll, please)
Team Blue!!!
Anyway, we're really pleased as now we have one of each.
Baby wouldn't turn round though, so I'm going to have to go back for another scan just to be on the safe side. I was also told I may have to go for another scan at 32 weeks as baby seems to be 'low lying' - I could have told them that before - it feels like it's trying to escape all the time....
Excellent news redstar! Was just wondering if you'd had your 20 week scan yet.
I've got mine on Fri and am getting a bit nervous but can't wait to find out what team we're on
Fernliebee - glad to hear your scan went well too
scotsgirl - I found the same thing re maternity wear, went to peacocks last week and it was all really casual. Think Asda has been the best I have found so far
gymfiend (or anyone else who can advise) - I seem to remember you buying some nipple cream from boots? What sort did you get and whereabouts was it?Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
