    Hi Ladies,

I am having a very hormonal day, and reading all these birth plans is making me weepy! not good when i am at work, and also the first really weepy day i have had so far.

So today is chronic nausea, twinges and pains in abdomen and severe exhaustion! Sorry for sounding like a moaning minnie, i am just struggling today!

    Thanks ladies :)

Fishcake - I thought I would be worried about having all those people around, but once it comes down to it you really don't care!! I agreed to 2 students, which was on top of the 2 mws, plus my then OH and my mum - thank god I had her coz he was useless!!! there was then some problem - I was too out of it to knw what lol and the head mw and 2 drs came along too.

I'm hoping this time around to have minimum hospital input and just OH though!

I'm having major probs sleeping at mo - my stomach feels heavy if that makes sense - I know it has a baby in but I'm only 13+4 so it isn't that big yet! and I keep getting cramps still, and shooting pains in my stomach and down "there" - those ones are like knife pains. have also been feeling like there's trickling the last couple of days. has anyone else had this or any ideas what it could be?

Mine was similar, there were tonnes of people in the room when we were having a problem (not even sure who they all were), but by that point I just didn't care and had my eyes shut for most of the time! I had no birth plan other than go to hospital, have baby then come home asap! I didn't know how painful it was going to be therefore didn't want to limit myself at all!
  • Silly question about the scan, I posted here a couple of weeks ago saying my DD2 (18) is pregnant, well we have the scan tomorrow and want some advice at to what happens as she is my youngest and I’ve forgotten it was that long ago! Back then scans were relatively new and were so blurry you couldn’t tell much even when they pointing were and saying “this is its head” or “this is its arm” you still couldn’t tell! Are they better quality? Do we get a picture – we weren’t given that option then? Do you have to pay for the picture – need to make sure I take money if we do? It says a pint of water to drink beforehand but I thought it was 2 pints? How long does it roughly take? Seems petty things now I’ve typed it!

It doesn't take long at all once you get in, although longer if she wants the nuchal scan too. The pics are really clear - I had dd 5 years ago and even since then they've moved on!! At our hospital they're £2.50 each - and we ended up with 2 the same which wasn't great lol

A pint should be plenty as they don't need so much fluid anymore either. Hope scan goes well :)

Oh can someone update me on list too please? My edd has changed to 15th June following scan - as long as it keeps getting earlier I don't mind!!

HIPG , you ask your midwife for form at 25 weeks , everybody gets this help from the gov, £190.00 your MW should have given it you at your 25 week check up

OH said he has an image in his head of me just given birth and holding our baby screaming "cut the cord, I`m going home". Or sneaking home in a taxi the second they arent looking. LOL.
I think i`m done working for the day so i`m going to go home and eat my own body weight in spag bol and watch a The princess diarys. I've had enough today.
