  • I know - I only agreed to get it to keep DD happy as she really wanted to come - that was our compromise. I thought it was really expensive, but I'm pleased I didn't know that some places charge as little as £2.50 before hand, otherwise she wouldn't have got her photo!
    (and thank-you :D)
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)

scotsgirl - if you can hold out, there will be a Next sale right after Christmas (usually Boxing Day or day after?), which is how I got practically all my maternity clothes I wore for work. eBay bundles work too, but sometimes can be hard finding ones that aren't all casual tops - you have to be choosy.

Beenie - lol, just let him do it his way and then go and fix it after he's gone to bed? My mom used to do that because I think it was easier than trying to get kids to put ornaments on properly!

lou - glad to hear from you! Getting nervous? Can't believe you'll have your baby on Thursday!! Yup we went to Primark on Sunday and got some button-down PJs. I didn't know there was a Makro around here! I'm eligible for Costco but just haven't gotten around to going (last time we went was over a year ago but that membership was through a friend who's gone now).

PP - nothing wrong with freebies as Christmas gifvts. They'll never know! ;)

Think baby must've majorly descended today (or is that wishful thinking??) as I've got all sorts of pressure on my foof and in my bum/lower back. Nothing painful, just feels really heavy!
top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

would like to win a holiday, please!!

PP, sadly I can beat you - at my hospital today, I had to pay £6.50 for a photo!!!

    That's horrendous

Ours were £2.50 when we went for 12 week scan but had signs up saying they would be £3 from 1st November

    Evening! :D

Beenie - I would of totally scratched his car! Then blamed a contraction or something similar which distracted me :p But im mean, so... :D

£6.50 for a scan photo! I begrudged paying the £3 for two pics lol.

Rant alert (skip if you want :D)

Im very annoyed! My doc examined the now black mole on my boob and said that he has to refer me to hospital as its showing some irregular growth patterns that dont look like they are to do with pregnancy.
So he sent me a referal letter with details on how to book my appointment.
The letter says my appointment is urgent, but all they can offer me is Feb 3rd 2010!:mad: And not even in the same town as me! I'd have to get a boat to get to the hospital!
I would be 36wks pregnant then, so there is no way im getting on a boat. Im scared of the sea as it is, and i would prob sink the boat! Then i'd had to walk about 20mins to the hospital

Im going to call them (as i was doing the booking with their online service) and see if they can do any better, with maybe the hospital that is 5mins walk from my house. If not then i'll go back to my doc.

Im sorry, but my understanding is if an appointment is 'urgent' you would be seen quicker than Feb and in the hospital by your house that has the exact same ward as the one in the different town

    Rant Over
  • Hello ladies!
I am still lurking quietly at the moment but just thought I'd pop on. I'm at 7+1 today and have finally got my booking appointment the sunday after boxing day so I guess things will feel more real then.

On the not breast feeding subject I have already decided I will bottle feed from the off and I must admit I'm not looking forward to the lectures over breast feeding. I'm not a stupid person and obviously realise the benefits of breast feeding but I know what will be best for me and that will obviously benefit baby in other ways. I'm too shy to stand up for myself though so I'm sure I will just listen and not say what I really feel about it

My nausea has been pretty constant with some days being much more unbearable than others but I have got a sudden love for salt and vinegar chipsticks followed by a cold glass of milk, yummy! :D

Wishing you all positive vibes and I hope to be joining in much more when I feel a bit more secure in this pregnant state;)

I had to pay £5 for one picture today, but then my mum scans them and prints me a few out! Didn't realise ours were such a rip off! Though I would pay anything to get the picture, and they know people will so they have you over a barrel really!

Can i ask what it feels like aless - people keep telling me its like walking around with a watermelon between your legs:confused: or does it just feel like the baby has moved right down?

Well DS did the tree and i'm very impressed, it actually looks really good. I'd done the branches and lights, and left him to do everything else and it looks good lol.

I'm so so so ridiculously tired all the time lately, is that normal?! I thought i'd be all into nesting at this stage but all i want to do is sleep. I fell asleep on the sofa with the dog this morning for an hour, and have done that for the last few days, and feel so drained all the time! Zzzzz
