Thanks my_gorgeous_ellie-belle My mum did get me questioning it all, but it is for the best. I am very petite also 4'10 and hubby is 5' 11 so the concern has always been the height diference between us and that the baby will be too big for me to birth. He is also currently breech but that can change.
To have any MW would have been nice. The alarm was going off on the monitor and no one came hubby had to run down the corridor and drag a mw away I was in theatre in seconds. We only recently found out at an apt with my consultant that they expected ds to have some brain damage and they expected an inquest.
I mean this in a nice way but karen what are you still doing here? Give your baby a good talking to!This is my signature!0 -

Does the cream in the middle of the victoria sponge have to be double cream? Can it be buttercream icing? lol.
Yeah I prefer buttercream to whipped cream. and it's nice with or without jam. Prob too late as I bet you've done it already but thought I'd share anyway!
Karen hope you are doing ok. Sending big big labour vibes for you to get this show on the road!
Well I've just been for 25 week appointment with midwife. She noted that I have an anterior placenta, meaning it's at the front of my bump, so I may not feel kicks there. I think it must be at the front right, cos I don't get any kicks there, but I do on the left side. Other than that all is well, and measuring exactly 25cm fundal height which is spot on as I'm 25 weeks today!0 -
I am sooo sorry to hear about your DS!!!
You'll be fine this time around elastigirl! We both willI too slipped out of consiousness a few times and my heartrate dropped rapidly so did bubs. Stupid MW did nothing so it was no good her being there anyway! OH had to run out and find a doctor and apparently 3or4 other MW's came running in too. MW got a massive telling off in front of everyone and that's when they rushed me in to surgery (i was only 7cm dilated too and had been pushing for hours so i was prob less when she started me pushing).
I was really looked after well after all that mayhem. But i look back now and deffinately don't see it as a bad hosp, everyone else were great, more a single bad member of staff which you can get in any profesion sadly - this is what my MIL meant about some MW's thinking they know better. Just my bad luck to end up with her, spesh as she kept banging on about she had been on loan from somewhere else and was still studying to be a full MW - she didn't instill much confidence in OH at all (she wasn't young either). We were very very lucky with DD though, if it hadn't been for OH's intervention i have no idea how the outcome would have been. That's why i think it is so important to have someone there who'll speak up for you just in the very slim chance you get told no about something you ask for.
Yes, and my OH isn't tall or big at all but he has broad shoulders and heavy boned so that has always been a concern. Spesh as he was a very big baby. I am built like a 12 yr old girl, lol, in fact i wear 11-12yr old clothing so i know what you mean about the size difference!Mummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0 -

I really really really fancy MaccyD's Fillet Meal but the nearest is a train journey away
Oh i hate cravings - spesh when you can't fulfil them! Arggghhhhh!
And MaccyD's is never something i usually eat - i have had it about 8 or 9 times since being pg
Lol, our chimney/fireplace in our dining room is howling from the wind and DD thinks it's a ghost - bless her! She keeps hiding under my arm :rotfl:

I'm here, was just having a little nap. The good news is my sister is bringing my 7 month old nephew in a minute so I can have a big old cuddle with him. Maybe me holding a baby will get my one shifting!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0

Right good news is the MW said that I am 3-4cm dilated so if we go to hospital we should be able to stay so definitely closer to delivery.

Floyd Peter arrived 9th July 2011 (1 day early)0
