Karen - hope you managed to either get some sleep or took your self off to the hospital, best of luck either way.

Well personally I want to go back to bed, but hey ho another work day (roll on saturday). Am tired just thinking about working till 6.30 and not even started yet. Early night for me I think.

Gonna have to go back to my normal work trousers with a bump band. I'm not sure who decided polyester was a good idea for PG women, but its irritating the h3ll outta me and I have a kinda rash going on. Looked all over for a cotton pair of navy work/mat trousers but seems they are non exsistent. Gonna see if management will write off a pair off black mat trousers for me to wear and be comfy, maybe I'll try the water works hehe.

OH got back from his mums last night and one of her work friends who has a 6 week old lil girl who has already gotten too big for her first lot of clothes has offered us them, along with a hardly used baby bath, Have been told what ever we dont want we can give to charity. Anyhoo that should save a bit more ££.

    Morning all,

Karen - good luck! Hope today's your day :D

Lots of labour vibes to all of you in need too - think I remember most names but don't want to risk incase I forget anyone in early morning haze!

Som kept meaning to say yesterday, I think Mae is a lovely name :D Had a lovely old lady neighbour called May when I was younger, she was so sweet to us - which sells the name to me more! & congrats on getting maternity leave sorted - you can start counting down now :)

The furniture we want is the Pure cot bed & drawers - maybe a cot top changer, still undecided on that bit. The cot is reduced by £50 at the moment which is sorta tempting me to buy but then part of me thinks we should hold out as I'll kick myself if it goes in the sale & I've bought it and not even used it yet!

Fishcake - hope you managed to get some sleep!

Very jealous of all this maternity leave talk, I'm gonna work the whole way through & then when baby arrives, as we need the figures to get our next mortgage :( Boo hoo. Worries me a bit that it'll be way harder than I expect, eek.

Woohoo, just checked Paypal and have nearly £300 for all our tat in there now, almost enough for the furniture :D

Right off now, time to do get up and some work, fun fun fun!

Have a lovely day all, xxx

darn, I miss all the good talk! ;)

DH & I have dtd less since getting pregnant b/c now I feel far less guilty for saying I'm too tired or whatever, whereas before I'd make more of an effort for relationship reasons. He would never pressure me or anything, don't get me wrong - it's a personal thing with me, I feel bad if we don't do it enough because I feel like it's part of my side of the bargain to keep him happy IYSWIM. I'm not sure how to phrase that properly without it coming out sounding all Victorian and Oppressed Wife-sounding which isn't what I mean at all. Anyway, we used to go about every other day, but now we manage 1-2x/wk. If left to my own devices, I'd prolly go less than that but find that once it gets going, most of the time I enjoy it well enough and don't regret so it's prolly good I kinda 'force' myself sometimes?? Sorry it prolly makes more sense in my head than typed out...

Loved the semen discussion - interesting theory! We'll have to test it soon, LOLOL....when I'm that big around I think the 'oral' absorption will prolly be far easier than normal sex!! ;)

karen - big vibes! hope they keep increasing for you and you can have your little baby by tomorrow!! Helen, you too, big vibes for you hon!!

Should prolly go roll around on my own ball tonight as babe has been stuck up in my ribs all day and is v uncomfy...

You see we only dtd like twice a week before being PG, we've done it like 3 times since being PG and only succesfully gone all the way lmao once

And yay for oral consumption of semen being good to bring on labour, cos I love doing that :o:o:o

EEK Karen Labour vibes to you :) xxxx

    Morning ladies,

Karen hope your well on your way to mummy cuddles now :j

Labour vibes to all the other ladies in need too, we're due a big spate of deliveries this week arent we?

I ended up lurking a bit yesterday as didnt really have much to post and my parents were in and out all day. They've dropped off tonnes of clothes for baby and are going to collect more today while they go to visit my sister then come back here on Friday so todays plan is a mass clothes sorting session. Ebay bundles are fab, its like christmas going through everything :rotfl:

Has anyone been to the drop in ante-natal classes at Sure Start centres? There's one this morning Im debating going to because I dont have any mummy friends in RL and we didnt meet anyone at the hospital classes as everyone was from such a wide catchment area. Im painfully shy though and hate 'group' situations with new people :o I know if I dont make an effort though once babies here I'll feel really isolated, not sure what to do

Sorry, long ramble over! Hugs and vibes to all in need x

MM - nice to 'see' you here, love the avvie of Dylan!

Boogelly, this sounds like me. I say go for it even if you feel awkward...worst that can happen is you don't meet anyone and go home bored!

karen - I realise it's far too late now but we're not supposed to phone until contractions are 3 in 10 minutes and lasting 50-60secs each (and have been doing that for 1 hr), so it sounds like you were still a bit too early when you phoned the hospital. However, hopefully you're holding your new baby already!! :T

  • I must get off the computer, i am having a weepy day. I have been sent an invite to join the group http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=174865360745&ref=nf It is a fellow MSE members grandaughter. Also just read simon cowell has give £100,000 for another little girl to go to america to have treatment for cancer and then i read the case about the parents who are flighting each other as their child is on life support. The mother wants to turn it off but the father doesn't. So now i am in floods of tears!

Mum nearly set me off too as she doesn't really want me to have section. In some ways it's because it will be too medical and thinks i should at least try again myself, as she had 3 kids no problem. But i don't think she or anyone fully understands how close we came to losing our son. But also i know she is worried, she doesn't want me to have the op and kept going on about it's a horrible thought. I said well don't think about it then, I'm not. I was told last time i might not be able to birth ds but as he was my first, a section wasn't an automatic option. She knows how ill i was after and doesn't want me to go though it again. I told her it will be so different this time but as she has no experiance of sections she doesn't really understands. She also hate the thought of me being a wake for it. She will be a nervous wreak on the day waiting for hubby to call.
    This is my signature!
  • Hi everyone! Not posted for a while but been lurking. Not much has been going on.

Labour vibes to those in need and hope everyone else is doing ok.

Getting a bit down with the morning sickness now. I had a clear week without being sick and only feeling mildly nauseas (the sea bands help a lot), but the last few days have been horrible. Feeling exhausted and not keeping any food down. I'm 12 weeks now so was hoping it would be tailing off by now but apparently not!

On a brighter note, we're going for our 12 week scan on Thursday. Very excited but also very nervous that somethings wrong.

Morning all, Hope everyone's doing well, and labour vibes to all those who need them.
I thought saomething might be happening last night as I felt very achey down below, and my hips and pelvis were sore, also got a couple of niggly pains. Every time I woke up last night I was wondering if something was happening, but nothing!!
DS is at the childminder's today, so I'm going to bounce on the ball lots and run up and down the stairs a few times if I can manage it :rotfl:
Mummy to 3 fabulous boys all under 4
