Before i forget, anyone that has had the diabetes test at 28 weeks what happens. Do you need to fast before it or do you just not eat after it? My appointment for ANC which i assume is for the test is at 3.30, now if i don't eat by 10am i get light headed etc so i don't want to spend the day dizzy for no reason(probably grumpy too).

Not been yet 3 but will be & have been told to fast from midnight the night before - due to go in at 8.30, if that helps?!

Just eaten a whole pizza - feeling suitably sick now!

darn, I miss all the good talk! ;)

DH & I have dtd less since getting pregnant b/c now I feel far less guilty for saying I'm too tired or whatever, whereas before I'd make more of an effort for relationship reasons. He would never pressure me or anything, don't get me wrong - it's a personal thing with me, I feel bad if we don't do it enough because I feel like it's part of my side of the bargain to keep him happy IYSWIM. I'm not sure how to phrase that properly without it coming out sounding all Victorian and Oppressed Wife-sounding which isn't what I mean at all. Anyway, we used to go about every other day, but now we manage 1-2x/wk. If left to my own devices, I'd prolly go less than that but find that once it gets going, most of the time I enjoy it well enough and don't regret so it's prolly good I kinda 'force' myself sometimes?? Sorry it prolly makes more sense in my head than typed out...

Loved the semen discussion - interesting theory! We'll have to test it soon, LOLOL....when I'm that big around I think the 'oral' absorption will prolly be far easier than normal sex!! ;)

karen - big vibes! hope they keep increasing for you and you can have your little baby by tomorrow!! Helen, you too, big vibes for you hon!!

Should prolly go roll around on my own ball tonight as babe has been stuck up in my ribs all day and is v uncomfy...

Great:mad::mad::mad: I'm looking at 16hrs without eating surely they cant expect you to go that length of time without eating. May have to set my alarm for 5am or i'll have to eat someone by 4:rotfl:

Off to dads got some prep work to do for the plasterer tomorrow. The joys of DIY.

Have a good night everyone vibes to all.

That must be wrong 3 are you sure you are def having it on that day?

In my notes it clearly states GTT 8.30 Day ward.
Nothing to do with the antnatal clinc apts at 28 wks.
You must fast for 12 hours before then during the test.
They are always done in the morning as like you said you can get light headed. They are always done in hospital too to my knowledge. I asked if i could delay mine by a few hours so i could take ds to school and was told NO. As you are fasting it isn't safe. I had to be at the hospital for 8.30 the apt was in a side room on the maternity ward. Bloods were done straight the way the min i got there and then i had 5 mins to drink a bottle of lucoazde had to wait 2 hours ( some hospitals allow you to go off for a walk but you must stay in the grounds) Mine didn't let you go as someone has fainted before now while off walking. After the 2 hours you have another blood test and then you can eat and drink what you like and go home. You can not eat in the 2 hours wait. I took lots of mags and a packed lunch to eat after on the way home.

three, i agree that can' be right having it on the afternoon.

Mine was at 9:30am and i was told not to eat after 9pm the night before. I went in on the morning and had bloods taken, drank the lucozade while i was there. Then i went home for a bit and came back at 11:45am.
By that point i'd gone beyond hungry and didn't end up eating til about 3pm :rotfl:

I think i will just assume that they have made a mistake, they were less than help full when i called about the jag and test. My ANC is at the hospital but their was no note on my appointment saying what it was and i had not been told about it. I will just play dumb like them and eat normally.

Then again i could just go into the maternity section tomorrow when i'm at the hospital to confirm  just dont think i can deal with any rudeness though may get mum to do it lol

Making kids something to eat before i leave, they never stop eating.
Right thats them eating, i'm off before the want anything else.
    Night all.
