Congrats Fidget!
I just had to share this with you:
From this website:
"Oral Application of Semen, From the US midwife archives
About fellatio: Actually, it would probably be beneficial, if the idea is to get the labour started. A great OB in Hamilton (John Lamont, I believe) spoke to our class about sexuality and pregnancy. He mentioned the concept that prostaglandins are absorbed 10X more efficiently through the gut than through the vaginal mucosa, with respect to semen and labour onset."
Interesting method for inducing naturally that OH might get overexcited about lol.
Hope I'm allowed to post this and it's not too graphic!?0 -
Aww Elasti sorry you had a crap night with OH is not good because you want to make the most of your time.
Re RLT - I was lucky and my SIL gave me a pot of 100 that she had left from when she had my neice. I would imagine you could get them in places like holland and barrett and prob a pharmacy.
re DTD I always (and still) want to do it but OH isn't so keen (I forget how big my bump is sometimes lol) so not sure what to recommend to make you feel sexier. What did you used to do before you were pregnant?
contractions are 13 mins apart at the mo - please let me have my LO soon......Tegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)
Floyd Peter arrived 9th July 2011 (1 day early)0 -
Kindof - don't worry hun, you'll get looked after!
One thing i will not be doing (or try not to do) is read the birth stories. You only really ever hear about bad ones because the many other people who have good ones tend not to be bothered to tell everyone about it. Mine was a bit all over the place, good in some parts, bad in others but turned out ok - i'm not scared (well obviously slight nerves will come but not like how i was scared the first time around) and i'll prob have to go through surgery and all. Think about it this way, women are giving birth everyday, and so may of those women return to have more so it can't really be THAT bad. Once it's done, it's donePlus once you get to 38 wks + you'll probably just want bubs to hurry up and come out that the nerves near enough dissapear - just ask some of the ladies here, lol!
I can't remember who said about feeling a little guilty about OH wanting a boy, but having a girl - but daddy's get loads of love from their little girls that it turns them gooey anyway, lol! I sometimes have to fight my DD off to give OH some attention and get some in return, hehe! Generally speaking the saying Daddy's Girl is pretty spot on! xMummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0 -

Not at all, I just really feel for you having had so many signs but no baby and just want you to have you LO with you soon. Just know how annoyed I am going to feel when/if the other november edd's have theirs before me cause according to the list I am 3rd (maybe 4th now as LCK was added). Obviously not seriously or at them, just at the fact that my baby is too comfy to come out when I am readyTegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)

I think I'm veering towards having it. DH has just told me that he thinks I should. Any ideas when we're likely to be offered it? Do you think we'll get letters through or do I need to keep watching out for open clinics or something?
I have no idea, i was supposed to ask at my booking in apt but completely forgot (mental note to self to start writing things down:o).
My OH doesn't want me to have it at all so if i do it'll be in secret until it's done then i'll tell him - i feel guilty because it's his baby that is effectively getting the jab too. But at the same time he refused to let DD have her MMR jab due to the whole autism thing- aftre loads of reading up i really thought the benefits outweighed the risks, spesh as we have had menegitis in quite a few babies in my side of the family. He didn't like the idea but i took her anyway which i felt really really bad about at the time. I kind of feel the same this time around - fair enough if i was pretty much staying put for the next 6 months+ but i'm not
.
Plus if he or DD comes down with it i think it'd be better if i am well enough to look after them and help them recover rather than catch it too - which i most deffinately would as i seem to catch everything they bring home.Mummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0
