    Congratulations Faye, and welcome Seth!
Sidekick, can't really give you any more advice than you've already been given, but I spent a large amount of my first pregnancy worrying about whether I was doing the right thing, but for me, although it was a bit of a culture shock, I couldn't regret it once I held Amelie in my arms.
Well, after the success of the mega mince pie yesterday, DH was spurred on to make a luscious apple cinnamon pie - delish. Unfortunately not too good for my new healthy eating resolution....

Congrats Faye:) glad baby Seth has arrived safely, must have been a bit of a shock though!!
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.
  • I was just having a look at the list of most frequent posters again and noticed that afroscot should be having her c-section tomorrow, as back on 23rd Oct she said:

I have starteed counting days! Not months, weeks but days - a bit scary really! 24 days till my caesarian unless nature intervenes and an emergency section is done!

which would be tomorrow. So on the offchance you are lurking afroscot, good luck for tomorrow!! xx

Congratulations Faye and baby Seth :j

Sidekick I cant add to what the ladies here have already suggested, talking to someone impartial really can be beneficial. Just wanted to send hugs your way.

Ive just had a lovely roast pork dinner, I was going to cook but OH kindly told me to wait until he got back from the allotment and he did it all for me and let me have an afternoon nap. :D He's also instructed me to get bouncing on my gym ball as he doesnt want to go to work tomorrow  If only it was that easy!
    Belly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j
  • Congratulations Faye and welcome to the world baby Seth :j

GISI ~ with DD2 coz i was carrying so much fluid it was really hard to feel the movements and i got paranoid all the time, it got to the stage they were having me up the hospital to do a tracing 3 times a week which was a nightmare!! One thing they did advise me to do though was everytime you feel a movement to write it down even if your in the middle of doing something, because sometimes when your busy doing stuff you dont notice as much iykwim, they said as long as you feel 10 movements in 24 hours then there is nothing to worry about.
It might be worth doing that if your worried xxx

Sidekick i can only send you hugs and echo what the other girls have said, my situation was very similar to Nikkis and i actually made an appointment with http://www.bpas.org/ it was going to the initial consultation that made me realise that i couldnt go through with it. Me and babies dad werent getting on at all (his ex was causing us hell) and between us we had 5 girls from the age of 2 up to 13  :rotfl: 3 were his and 2 were mine. We are not together now but we get on brilliantly (much better than we did when we were together!) and we are now expecting our first little boy and we are both thrilled to bits :) Stay positive and make sure you think about it long and hard its your decision dont let anyone else make it for you xxxx

Well my bedroom furniture arrived :D the blokes that collected it were absolutly brilliant, shifting furniture so it would go exactly where i wanted it and everything! I even chucked them an extra tenner coz they put the girls bunk beds up for me too :j which saves my mate from coming round tomorrow to do it :D

I think i have nearly finished unpacking too :j i have 3 small boxes in the bathroom which cant be unpacked until the shelves are up and there are 2 boxes downstairs that still need to be unpacked but its only junk thats in them anyway and then im done!!!!! I never thought id hear myself say that :rotfl:

Thought i would treat the girls to dinner today as they wanted a roast and i was just to shattered to do it and i took them to the local carvery, which would have been great except we had to leave half way through because it was so hot in there and i nearly passed out a couple of times :(

But all in all a really productive day so im happy :D

Talking of naps, I really need to start taking them I think as O'm getting tired easliy but cant sleep at night for long periods without my back getting sore. Thing is I'm rubbish at sleeping through the day, anyone any tips or chilling out?

Som - is there a reason your back hurts during the night? Maybe try different pillow configurations? That might help...not that I can talk too much as I also have some difficulty sleeping at night, but my problem is usually hips, not back.

  • Som - I'm getting quite a lot of back pain at the moment too. I usually sleep with two pillows, but I've started ditching one, as it seems to help a little to keep my back flatter.
