Thanks for the advice re pushchairs. Pigpen, I live in a town so lots of walking on paths, etc. Lightweight would be good too as I have issues with Pelvis, so anything too heavy would strain me even more.
I was looking at the mothercare travel systems (even though I dont want a travel system!) and liked the fact you could have bubs facing you and lying back and then the other way. However, the reviews suggest its not very durable and after a year they give up a bit.
I was looking at the Mclaren Techno but it doesnt appear to face you?
I havent got a clue to be honest! Im finding it very difficult avoiding the travel systems though... dont they just do a decent pram for new borns that can be transformed into a front facing chair when theyre old enough?! lol
I think I may end up sticking with Silver Cross... ?First baby born 10/06/10:heartpuls 6lb 10z:heartpulsI love my little family0 -
Michelle - I have a chicco 4 me (I think that's it's name) and it can be parent facing(although i now hate it as it squeaks!!!)...I was in Mamas and Papas today and saw one called Sola, they do it in green or purple and that can also be parent facing:)Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

She'll bring out the girlie side in your house. Our house loves having our little lady , she's really changed things around here. Everyones obsessed with her. She's such a joy to have.
Yes we'll find out on 21st May, I'd like a girl with them being close in age and sharing a room but not bothered really as this isnt our last baby anyway.0 -
SW my OH wanted to call bubs Gabriel same as you i like it but cant imagine actually calling a child that plus the fact it would get shortend to Gabe which i cant stand.
Michelle im sure you find one you will fall in love with. I'm pretty certain mother care do a couple of pushchairs that are what i call mix and match you pick what you want so they can be travel systems but you only have to buy the pushchair if thats all you want they also do that new spin one where the whole thing just turns on a central pivot point it looks really good in theory but i dont know how hard wearing or practical they are.
This is it if you want to take a look

That's what we did with the doubles...I also had k with me which was handy because it meant we could get a sense of size, and gauge how long it was going to last the babes:)She'll bring out the girlie side in your house. Awww, you're lucky...my dh doesn't want anymore and is talking of the snip:( But we'll see;)
I am looking forward to a change in dynamic of the household as it is very much a boys house, football, beavers, computers, consoles, and jeans and trainers haha x I think it will be nice for the boys to be around some more feminine articles:DUnless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Just made my most expensive baby purchase; a Chicco Polly Swing from Kiddicare, I really wanted to buy a swing for bubs, but was going to get one 2nd hand, as we have had such brilliant offers on buying stuff so far, with it either being a discount code, half price or boot sale I decided to splash out £49.99. It looks pretty good and is half price so I am happy. OH wants to get some new bits so this will keep him happy. Hopefully getting a free cot Tuesday *fingers crossed* and maybe a changing unit free also. Then I've just got bedding, bath stuff and rest of clothes to get, I feel quite organised!!0

Is anyone just having the one? I think CAFC said she was, and I've a feeling (not 100%) that this one will be more or less an only (big bro 19 in May). I do really love kids, and they seem to like me, I just never imagined having any, much less more than one. I guess I'll see what I think about this one first
It's the only trouble I have with OH being older, he'll be nearly 48 by time bubs comes and even though he's far from decrepid, I guess age is going to be a factor at some point in our decision.
