:eek::eek: £669.00 for the two seat version for which if you have a newborn you have to have a carry cot as british standards wont pass the seat for a new born unlike in america:eek::eek::eek:
There is no way i can afford that so its back to the drawing board as the other half doesnt like the phil & ted pram as he is so tall he kicks the back seat when he is walking.
Anyone got any double buggy recomendations ???
D'oh, I knew I had something to tell you, I was on a nother forum and they were talking about that buggy I was meant to come and tell you the price and waiting time for pre-orders...

we went through a whole baby names book the other night and have a few potential girls names but no boys! DH was tempted to find out the sex so we only have to come up with one name, but I'm determined that we don't! I want a surprise!!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0

Redmel i have a budget of up to £400 max but really want to spend less if possible. There was a cosatto one i was eyeing up in the tesco book its a very basic buggy type tandem in black for £224.97 and it doesnt seem to be massive like some on the market but i dont know what the quality is like. I really dont have a clue about double buggys which is easier to get around the shops a side by side or a tandem ?
There was also a Bro & Sis one i liked that was a side by side but im thinking it looks less cute and more chavy now :-(:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
I have gone for a side by side, as I have pushed a friends tandem and found it really heavy as the kids got older, I also felt sorry for the baby behind as they always seem to have restricted views and not as much room....then I also coonsidered the argument factor at least in a side by side they are equal and there shouldn't be any bickering about who sits where hehe...they were just my reasons, but I know loads of people don't like side by sides!
Have you looked at the nipper 360 double, it was very close 2nd for us, it really is very light and easy to push/fold etc....also there's the baby jogger double which does get good reviews, but I found that K was a bit squished in it and he is only a year old so he is only going to get bigger.... fwiw I also like the bro and sis one;)
We went for the Mountain Buggy btw:D
Have a look on here there are loads of reviews:)Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Hi everyone havent posted for a while but I have been lurking around!
Xmas i am getting a double buggy and have decided to get the maclaren twin techno, its side by side and is £270 including footmuffs raincovers head huggers e.c.t. What i did was go in mothercare (my local is huge) and tried them all out and this one was ace, i dont know what is best for manouverability but i prefer side by side and the tandems seem bulky (like a travel system which i hate) and also dont like the idea of baby in back seat staring at the back of a seat IYSWIM.
Love hearing everyones name choices picking a name is so much fun, ours is officially Freya Rose. We picked ds name really early too just loved it and it stuck, hes an Oliver and it turns out it is common ha.0 -
my friend had a maclaren twin techno and my SIL who is due next month and has an 18 month old is getting the same. I am currently leaning towards a maclaren xt for us too as easy to get on and off buses, takes up less space etc.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0

Hello all
went to a boot sale this morning had to walk across 3 fields as they had let people park in lower field early morning and many were bogged in was entertaining to watch but not pleasant for those stuck!! It was freezing sun never did come out and although huge was loads of rubbish - think people had bank hol clear outs last week and mistook the boot sale for a rubbish dump!!
I am not going to have a moses basket want to get a rocking/swinging crib, babies r us have one half price for £80 at the moment but hoping on getting a second hand one for around £30 if I can.0 -

Ooo I was thinking maclaren xt too!;)
I thought I'd be the only one not wanting to get a travel system/3 in 1 etc:o I would love to have a "pram" style but house is small and I feel I wouldn't get much use out of it IYKWIM.BLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -

NOT the Bill and Ted!! Poor little thing in the back gets a view of nothing.. can reach the dirty wheels and is way too close to the ground.. I loathe them!!redmel1621 wrote: »Piggers, if he thinks Primrose is too cutesy, you could always point out that she can choose to be called Rose as she grows older;)
