Thanks MGEB, hows ur DD now?
I will mention to my MW about the date, hopefully she'll change it!0 -
Awww bless you hun - Gordon will be ok!!! And so will you - you are allowed to act all irrational now so feel free to cry if you want to - i know i do alot.
And stooooopid stoopid owners for letting the kids take the dogs for a walk if they can't actually handle them. People who don't take considerations for others when walking their dogs are my biggest pet gripe and i have to keep stopping myself from whinging about it on the pet thread on here, lol!
Kitkat - thanks, she's a bit better. She has tonsilitis, have started her antibiotics even though i didn't wat to yet (Dr said try keep her off em if poss unless she gets bad again). Well she was coughing real bad again last night and was sick - so both me and hubby decided maybe it was best to give her the meds. At least that way she'd hopefully sleep better and so would we. And that worked fairly well - they slept like logs but i didn't for keep checking on her and covering her up all nightLol, the trials and tribulations of being a mum, haha - the slightest little thing will keep you up.
But today she is better, playing, causing trouble and being a pest- her voice is going though so at least she's getting quieter and quieter throughout the day....lol, i feel so mean saying that but at least i'll get some peace and quiet at least for a little while

CAFC, that would've been really scary whether you're pregnant or not, so it's understandable you feel shaken up and scared for your pup (and yourself). When you feel more up to it, is there a different route you could take Gordon on? Take care though, cos it sounds like a horible thing to happen.

Thanks hun...
It was the route DH normally takes him on coz its longer. The one I normally take just has lots of teenagers (now its lighter for longer) but they're all normally just really interested in meeting Gordon.
I think its a mix between not being able to protect him, myself and baby, and then what winds me up is the fact that this kids could not control these dogs, and all their parent could do was mutter sorry as walk past, didnt even run up to help control the dogs when they were all over us, and to be fair its obvious Im pregnant, who lets their dogs just jump all over a pregnant woman!
Yes their dogs might be big balls of fluff and cuddly as anything, but we dont know that, and they dont know our dog. Gordon did get a wallop in round one of their faces though....
DH has just told me not to worry about taking him out when im on my own, but he needs 2 walks a day, and for 3 days a week DH isnt here to do it twice a day so I feel I need to do it.....
Anyway, must stop talking about it or i'll just work myself up againWealth is not measured by currency0 -
Mgeb hope she keeps improving i know how she feels i used to suffer with tonsilitus all the time when i was young they took them out when i was 11 (I didnt get any jelly any icecream though just dry toast and cornflakes). My daughter used to suffer quite abit with them too but thankfully she seems to have grown out of it now :-)x
Cafc Bloody stupid dog owners i'm sure your little Gordon will be fine and he will still love you and think your a fantastic owner even when you cant take him walkies :-) x:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
Thanks hun...
He's a very fickle puglet.... but I think as long as I have access to the treats, I can retain his affections...Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

Yikes at being given cornflakes and dry toast after having tonsils out - OUCH!!! It's a first and hopefully a last for ages for DD, hopefully she'll be ok. LOL as soon as i phoned hubbie and told him he replied in shock ''So when are they taking her tonsils out?????'' Bless him!Mummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0 -

congrats maureen, welcome home.
All this talk of scary sections freaks me out a bit too. My sister had a terrible time but mainly as the midwife she kept phoning did not pick up that she had not only pre-eclampsia but hellp syndrome. Had emergency section in the end and liver failure. But she is fine now and her son is thriving. I think I am going to have my mum here for the birth, even if not all the way through - DH is not good with anything medical and my mum is a nurse who knows her stuff, though not a midwife she will be completely on the ball.
Have been in bed most of the aft after dozing on the sofa. Better go and spend some time with dh!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0
