Morning everyone,
BSM - So sorry to hear that you're having such a rough time. As for not being a very good mum at the moment, I'm sure that you're being better than you realise, and it's not long now until the birth - you'll have plenty of time later to make it up to the kids, at the moment you just need to focus on getting through this - sending you a virtual hug!
Rach - well done for telling work! I found it a huge relief to get it out in the open... not that I could hide it now lol. And congrats on the bouncy chair - that sounds a real bargain, I'm trying to get one of ebay at the moment.
Hi Som - haven't heard anything yet, hopefully she's getting some mummy cuddles by now...Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'

BSM - what a nightmare! I can't offer any advice I'm afraid but am sending you good vibes for the induction and getting bubs out safely x
Thanks all for the advice about bottles etc. I think I'm going to get a few and an electric steriliser (don't have a microwave) and a pump - it sounds like they'll get used at some point - probably at Christmas when I want to have a drink :rotfl:!
I told my boss yesterday, she was fine about it but then told me off later for telling my other colleagues. Funny, I thought it was MY news to share with whomever I liked  Anyway, it's tough!
I'm feeling well today so maybe it's a girl after all!;)
Bellymonkey due 25/09/10 :j0 -
Thanks for that info BSM - i vaguely remember having something similar to a smear with DD and they still thought i was going into labour (strong contractions and hind waters went at 30wks, even though i kept firmly telling them they were Braxton Hicks as there was no pain whatsoever - they didn't believe me as they were apparently too strong and regular) they still kept me in for a few days and i ended up carrying her till full term, lol! Trust me i know the difference between real contraction and Braxton Hicks, i certainly can't sit and chat through a real one, even early on - these i were laughing and chatting through em all.
Yeah i am not bothered about bothering them, i'm really bothered about them keeping me in uneccessarily which they keep doing - as we only have one income, if i'm in hosp OH has to look after DD (who is just 3) coz he works nights and the time has to be taken off unpaid. The month before last he ended up with less than half of his normal pay, which meant we are behind with bills now, including council tax which they can send bailifs around and i really don't wan't to run the risk of losing our house as it's rented.
Basically if i'm in hosp, and he gets little pay it's not as easy as just make it up the next month as his work have frozen ALL overtime due to cut backs. It's proving a real struggle at the mo and putting a great strain on our relationship - all for the hospital keeping me in for no reason. I don't mind if something really is wrong - it's just they have never got anywhere at all so i get really annoyed, hence discharging myself last time. I have prob been in hosp a good 1/3 of my entire pregnancy now. And i really only want to be in if i am having bubs, or if there deffinately is good reason to be in.
Lol, i hope that makes sense.
I'm sorry to hear you are having a bad time - as for being a bad mum, i feel like that too. I am seriously stressed (all with dr's and hosp) and i'm getting really snappy with poor DDIf they are old enough to understand try telling them you don't mean to be snappy, just in a lot of pain. I have told DD if mummy gets moody it's because my back and tummy are really hurting and i feel sad - even though she's just 3 she has become alot more cuddly towards me. And i have heard her chatting to daddy that mum is hurting and we must look after her, lol! She's my little angel! x
Mummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0 -
Aww MGEB your princess sounds adorable
It sounds like a real pain with the hospital keeping you in all the time, especially if you're getting behind on the bills! I'd love to help out if we lived near. I often think my time is wasted at home while my 2 are at school, when so many people are struggling with childcare...I'd love to help them all!
Fingers crossed Gym is doing well.
Saz xxx:heart2: THANK YOU MARTIN!! :heart2:0 -
BSM - *hugs* it sounds as though you're having an awful time of it at the moment.
Rach - glad to hear that telling everyone went well
Som - thanks for the reminder about sainsburys. Need to remember to go tomorrow and get some lasinoh and other bits and pieces.
MGEB - your daughter sounds like a real little sweetie
I'm not quite sure what to do with myself today. I'm feeling really tired but feel as though I need to get some exercise so that I sleep well tonight. I was at a regional meeting yesterday which was nice, the other mgrs were all looking after me and carrying my chair when we moved rooms etc - could get used to it lol! Didn't find it anywhere near as difficult as a normal day at work either as I was sitting down all day instead of on my feet for 6/7 hours. Made me feel a lot more justified in how hard I've been finding work, which I've been giving myself quite a hard time about . Only 4 more days to go now tho!Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -

Hi all, hugs to those having a carp time and congrats to the newbies.
I'm 38 weeks today! Saw midwife earlier in the week and am measuring a bit ahead but the good news is he's fully engaged. Neither of the other 2 dropped until labour and I am really noticing the difference, I'd take the current 'down below' pressure and cervical pains over the excruciating rib pains from before any day, even the heartburn only comes and goes rather than being 24/7! :T
Can't believe I'm still so far down the list, anyone mind if I queue jump LOL? Midwife told me she's on call this weekend and since they fight over whos gonna get to attend the homebirths (7 of them, all lovely!) she'd like it if I could have him by sunday night - told her since I've just about got done what I wanted and the kids are away anyway it suited me fine!
Now watch me sit here for another 2 weeks...............:heart2: Mumma to DD 13yrs, DD 11yrs & DS 3 yrs. :heart2:0
