Hi all
Can I officially join you now? I've had my scan today at 12+2 - it was so exciting as they looked at loads of stuff becasue they're a big research centre. Bean was jumping around loads so I had to go back in 3 times to get the NT measurement!
My due date is 2nd October.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Welcome Rach and sounds like you had a great scan!0

I have got almost everything for bean on ebay, car boot, charity shop would have cost £5000 going by mothercare prices cost me £500 very MSE ( + environmentally friendly, no packaging and reusing what is alreay available )
some price guides
sleeping bags average £1
swinging crib £20
moses basket with stand £5
sleepsuits 5 for £1
take along swing £5
bouncer £1
cot bed with drawer £12
cot quilt duvet £1
moses basket sheets 3 for £1
everything will be washed and I will buy new mattresses before bubs gets here
I'll sell the stuff as I have finnished with it and gain my money back ( usually get more when you sell in local free paper )
I have to say I really enjoy the challenge of buying stuff 2nd hand, much more fun than handing over a credit card in m/c and getting the bill :eek:Busy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:0 -
Thanks for adding me to the list don't know the sex I wanted a suprise. Went to Midwife today, student did the blood tests and examined me but she couldn't tell which way baby was lying - not that it matters really at this stage but I was curious.Mam 2 Big E Nov 4 & Little A June 10:happylove0

Kindof - He's gorgeous, so cute! You look so happy with him as well, as someone else said. I can't tell you how relieved I am that you've got him home. Was really worried about you both last week.
Smartie - sorry you don't have a pic of baby yet but good news that you could see his little arms waving aboutSounds a bit like my naughty little one at my 20 wk scan - he had his head in my pelvis as low as he could get and firmly refused to move!!
CAFC girl - keep checking your local freecycle. I've just got a bag of sheets from there. If you have a quality save or home bargains near you they sell them cheap as do matalan.
Som - so glad it's going well for you. Thalie sounds like the perfect baby
Rach - congrats and welcome, glad your scan went well.

its kind of a weird pyschological thing.....
I want to breastfeed but i've had some freakish panic attacks over it.. I dont know exactly what it is about the physical doing of it..... it just freaks me out.... hence why i thought express breast feeding would be my next best option....
I know you didnt want an answer LOL just thought i'd put it out there anyway
When does carboot season normally start?
Seeing as you answered.. will you try it? Just once so you know whether your fretting over it is justified?
The surestart places usually have peer supporters who may beable to offer some help andadvice.. and you always have me
Carboots here usually start about easter/may bank holiday depending on where they are.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
