Congratulations to Somnium!! Tahlia (hope I got that right) looks gorgeous!
Congratulations also to Kindof!! Sorry to read all you've been going through but great to see all is getting better.
I feel I've missed a birth so sorry if I've not said congrats to someone.
Have we heard from Fishcake lately?
Having read loads of pages in one go I can't remember much so general (((hugs))) to anyone needing them.
CAFC - congratulations to your OH!
Smartie - you're bound to worry but I'm sure all will go well for Monday.
Gymfiend - sending you labour vibes.
Nikkit - gorgeous pic of your boy!

Mermaid - congratulations on your engagement! That was a few pages ago but I remembered it as I'm also recently engaged (OH asked me the day of the scan though said it wasn't about the baby). We're going to look at rings this afternoon!

Courgette - do you mean the changing bag from Boots? I have a voucher in my bounty mag.

Talking of stretch marks - does Bio Oil work in preventing them? I know lots of people use it but I haven't got any yet. I've already got loads of body lotion/butter and would rather not buy something else if what I've got is likely to be good enough.

As for me, I've been feeling much better the last couple of days, I think I'm getting my energy back! I felt pretty normal at work thurs & fri, started to flag at about 4.00pm but on the whole a big improvement from last week.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend. xx

CAFC, that's awesome news for you and hubs!

I just got all the freebie stuff when I had my booking in appointment with the midwife. I've joined a few others so far, but they've not exactly been Oscars style goodie bags IYKWM - had to have my polar bear though! I haven't picked up the change bag yet. It does seem quite good though, my little cousin's mum has one and it seems nice and roomy.

Bubs was kicking OH in the butt last night when I was asleep. He didn't know what the heck it was at first, but said it gave him a few good 'uns. Little monkey.

My cousin (16 years old) has had her baby this week and was out of hospital in three hours  I would have thought they'd keep her in to see she felt ok!

I text my brother with news about new niece or nephew for him in September and he hasn't replied :o maybe he is cross. Lord knows the rest of the family will be :rotfl: Some of my tops are starting to be tight now, but I just look like I've been eating all the pies (was size 14-16 top, 16-18 bottom)

Delain  at 3 hours! Holy cow, I mean, I don't wanna move into hospital, but I'd at least like a bit of time to get used to the whole thing before being allowed out into the world.

To get the free boots changing bag you need to sign upto the parenting club and they post your vouchers :D
The first bounty pack is a bit lame, the newborn essentials has similar things in i think.

Sainsburys box thing is worth getting!

I need to collect my Emma's diary one for newborns, it has a free can of coke in! :D

I agree about the pink. When i was pg i said she wasn't going to be a pinky baby. She has some pink stuff, but its mainly ligh pink. It suits her skin tone to :)
But she looks lovely in white and she's curently wearing a white/red/beige stripy winnie the pooh sleepsuit. I think she looks lovely in it, but OH said she looks like a boy lol.

Has gym had baby yet? :)

Gena, nothing is on Fishcakes fb as of current. But as soon as there is i'll update if she hasn't :)

Hi, i was also disappointed with bounty pack. The first one i got from midwife at first scan was much better than the second one you have to pick up. i felt that even the information in it was much better.
Joined sainsbury Little ones and Boots pregnany club about 5 weeks ago, just got sainsbury voucher yesterday so not yet picked pack up but from picture it looks worth it. Sure i read ages back that everyone was disappointed with Boots changing bag but will wait and see when i get my stuff from them. Still waiting on a couple of other things ive sent off for. Husband getting quite impressed with my freebie skills though!!

Smartie; Glad you feel the same about a swing! I have added it to 'the list' lol. Might buy it with my £190 grant along with some other stuff if I can find one cheap enough.
I also had a boots changing bag voucher in my Bounty pack that you send off and get sent a magazine and voucher to take into shop; you buy a pack of huggies i think and get the bag free. I kinda want the Paul Frank changing bag but this will do for now as its FREE! I also have the voucher for the Sainsburys pack, but I havent picked it up yet, think I will as I will need to buy nappies at some point!
Gena: Congrats on your engagement! I have been using bio oil for 2 weeks, my skin is so much smoother than it was, I am yet to tell if it reduces the appearance of stretch marks as I havent got any yet, but I am guareteed to get them as my mum and sister both have them. I do think it is overpriced but I was lucky enough to get 6 bottles sent through bizziebaby, otherwise I probably wouldnt have been able to afford it all the way through my pregnancy.

On the pink debate, When my twins were tiny I'd put one in Lilac and one in pink/lemon. Except when they went to ex MIL who would always be furious if they weren't dressed exactly the same.

Now when they go there I let them choose what they want to wear and they usually want to wear the scruffiest clothes in the cupboard and she changes them when she gets them home :rotfl:

We're going to find out the sex I think, OH changed his mind about wanting a surprise. I've seen some lovely baby clothes in M&Co and had to stop myself :rotfl:

Congratulations to weezl74 and welcome baby Kester
If I've missed anybody out sorry I'm still catching up

Nikkit -Your little boy is gorgeous
Cafcgirl-Yay for hubby getting the job.

I've been ill, Managed to catch a nasty cough and the coughing caused me to pull a muscle under my left rib which left me in agony for a week.I was silly enough to think it was babys hand or foot as it got worse when baby moved, after ringingand texting midwife(who didn't reply for 2 days)and then maternity assessment unit who advised me to see my doc I am now on Ibuprofen, antibiotics and have been given some pain relief gel.Doc also said I have signs of a urine infection so need to go in again on monday.

Is it normal for baby to be very active,I'm 25 weeks on monday and this baby has not slept for 3 days now.He or she is always wriggling around.
    Love can tame the wildest
