CAFCGIRL
I checked my notes from my booking in appointment for my weight ,I have put on 2 stone at 38 weeks which I am thrilled with as put 4 stone on with DS and found it really hard to shift0 -
Sounds like everyone is doing really well with the weight gain. I'm on the look out for stretch marks appearing as well, so far they haven't reared their ugly head for me but I'm sure one morning I will wake up with a ton of them on my belly!0

Hi Keava!
Oh dear, I think I read the scales wrong - I work in kg, and the scales are a mix of stones and kg. Not telling how much I've actually put on
Lol, I've been instructed by one of my colleagues that bubs has to be a girl so she can buy it lots of pretty dresses!

I'm actually finding the clothes thing a bit of an issue with having a girl. I really don't want everything she wears being pink! It seems if you want to buy baby girls clothes they are all pink and it drives me crazy. Don't get me wrong, I want my little girl to look girly but just not all pink! What's the bet when she gets old enough to pick her own clothes, she will want them all in pink0
-
Ymake, that's exactly what I'm worried about if bubs is a girl. It seems like there's nothing at all that isn't pink. I know it's a phase most girls go through, but it's not something I want to be an entire lifestyle.
I too am sooo paranoid about stretchmarks. Unfortunately, all 3 of us (even my brother) inherited my dads skin and so already have them from puberty. Ugh, I just know I'm gonna get the bloomin things

Kindof, so long as he's ok in other respects it's not a 'bad' lie. Worst case scenario is FF - it's not like you'll starve Elliot. It sounds like he's trying with the BF, and might be more relaxed and able to once you're both on home turf. Best wishes, and hope you get him home!

Evening all, it seemed to have perked up a bit in here since i left for dinner!
I'm on facebook too if anyone wants to add me - my name is the same as my name here - if you add me, send a message so i know who you are! lol
As for weight gain - I have loads of stretch marks from previous pregnancies and general weight gain since my teenage years so not really bothered about them anymore. However, as i couldn't eat much for the first 5-6months i lost a lot of weight and when i got on the scales at the mw the other day - i weigh exactly the same as i did at 11 weeks when i had booking in appointment!!!!
Think its a combination of losing weight early on and then growing baby.
Hopefully means that when i've had it, i'll be lighter - surely that's how it should work!??
Kindof - keep going with the bf, i'm sure once you are all settled at home it'll all start to fall into place. There are breastfeeding support groups and helplines etc that can help once you're home if it doesn't improve. Good luck for getting him home tomorrow!
Keava - welcome! and congratulations on your news. Hope all goes well for you.
Bexta - teacakes are awesome! I'm glad you can get them down south! I think they are something everyone should try!!! lol
Jopsey - thanks for the info re splint. I'll see how i get on over the weekend, might call physios on monday if any worse. I've pm'd you re facebook, feel free to add me!
nite ladies and bumps and babies!
hope everyone has a comfortable nights sleep...
