Afternoon everyone...hope we are all ok

Have just caught up and once again cant remember what i was going to say

Kindof...am so pleased that elliott is improving...i hope you will get him home soon :)

Have felt really sleepy today and very unmotivated. I have tried to be really healthy but it has all gone to pot as i have just opened the tin of celebrations :(

I have made a special effort to monitor how much i am drinking as yesterday i had an awful headache and put it down to dehydration. I am finding that since i have been unable to drink tea and coffee i have not been drinking as much. So today i am so far on my 3rd pint of water.

    Hugs to everyone x

Great news Kindof, I'm sure you will get there with the BF, it can be really tricky even with no complications, so to have expressed and now be perservering with it while he is in SCBU, you are doing amazingly! Hope to hear that you are all home together ASAP. xx

Confuzzled : We went to see Bounty Hunter. It was watchable, and funny in parts but I wouldnt buy it on dvd unless it was dirt cheap, put it that way...Gerard Butler with an american accent is weird, and I just wanted to yell "This is Sparta" LOL

Took Gordon out for a huge walk earlier, he was off lead for most of it, which means that for the distance we walk, he does about double that... Weather was good for it as well, and I wasnt too knackered out.

DH and I sorted out his new bank account this morning and we've found a thermometer we want to get but just trying to figure out the best deal. Saw it in mothercare, an avent digital room and bath thermometer. Checked in boots and they have it as well at the same price, got some vouchers from boots yesterday as well so just trying to work out what my best way of working it is.

    Hi all

Not really much to report here. Can't stop eating lately, all junk food of course. I am pleased to say I have only just gained 1st though, at 25 (nearly 26) weeks I am pretty pleased. I am aiming for no more than 2st gain in total as that is how much I gained with ds3 and lost every bit by my 6wk post-natal check:)

Still keep waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to get back to sleep so I am unbelievably tired (and grumpy) LO is driving me mad too screaming his head off atm......I feel like walking out tbh

hope you are all keeping well:)

I'm not pregnant but my sister is expecting a baby girl in May. I bought her some baby clothes, a baby monitor and 6 of those baby sleeping bag things. Boy did I get a wake-up call at how expensive something so tiny is!! I almost died at the cost of them! I did splurge at Beb! Bisou but I knew what I was getting in for there. The other stuff was bought in Pumpkin Patch (great sale on at the moment!), Mothercare, The Little White Company and John Lewis.

I'm still not done and want to buy some more but where is the best place to go for cheap(ish) baby stuff? Pumpkin Patch seemed like great value (2 sleep suits for £10) but their range for new babies was quite small. No offence in the slightest but I don't want to go to Primark only because I worked there for a summer and would rather set myself on fire than give them any of my money.

Also, has anyone used one of those automatic baby swings? Is there such a thing as a good but not priced through the roof model?

Kindof fantastic news on Elliot you must be so relieved

Maureen I have suffered with it for years on and off but the swelling in pregnancy makes it much worse and keeps me awake at night ,but if you can get a splint like I said I totally swear by them

Gill81 I am not too far away in Widnes ,it was a lovely day spent most of it in the park with DS eatin jaffa cakes :D

Hope Fishcake is getting on ok

I have gone from wanting baby to stay putt ,to totally fed up and wanting it out within a week :(

Bog Pony - You could try Asda, Tesco, TK Maxx, M&S.......

Jopsey - Message me your name on FB and I'll add you :)

Our fat puppy is now snoring away LOUDLY in his bed in the other room, DH is entertaining himself on the wii and Im trying to figure out the best possible deal with my boots vouchers.

Thermometer we want is £15, could then get 3 x 44 pk of size 2 nappies (reviews seem quite good for them) for £10, and I have a voucher for £5 off when you spend £20.... and a voucher which gets you double points on baby stuff... and those two apparently can be used together.... Does that seem reasonable? I've also got about £4 odd on a gift card which I can use against it all as well.....

Ooo I hope I manage to put not much more than 2 stone on. I've put on 13lbs so far and am now 22+2 so I'm not doing quite as well as you but what will be will be I guess, especially as Ive not changed what I eat at all! :D My tummy seems to have rapidly grown in last 24 hours though so I'm probably on for a downward spiral now:rotfl:
  • kindof- what great news on Elliot.

It has been quiet around here, must be all those aboit to pop post the most now they have all had babies!
Bog-Pony- for newborn clothes i rate boots and next highest. They do really good quality stuff and its all lovely, in fact i rate them all the way up into childrens clothes as my little boy still gets most of his stuff from there. I just bought some stuff for bump recently and prices go from 3 sleepsuits for £12 in next (really lovely though with scratch mitt sleeves wich are ace for newborn) 2 rompers for £11 and boots currently have buy one get one half price on baby clothes. he also gets stuff from tescos/ and some asda, there stuff is really good quality for money especially vest/night time sleep suits e.ct as you can get about 5 for less than a tenner and there perfect for bed. I love tescos baby boutique stuff atm though, slightly more expensive but the quality rivals next e.c.t IMO.
Also cant rate baby swings high enough, they are FAB. I got one for my little boy for his first xmas and it was a fisher price jungle cradle swing, he absolutely loved it and i so regretted not having it from birth cos it kept him quiet for ages and helped him sleep. I sold it after cos it was too bog to store so im buying another one this time and im going for the mamas and papas dream lite swing. Also got the 'please look after me' rocker from mothercare which is ace as well.
