Aww Guinea sorry you had a rubbish experiance at MK! Hope the sore ness eases up for you soon for you xx
LMF - ooh thats a positive will keep fingers crossed it goes as well as yours
gisi - good to know its not uncommon, how did yours go?
Kindof - no she didnt say what pains might be but i suspect some of it could be tummy upset and maybe SPD but am guessing. Its exciting knowing I dont have much longer to wait now, and a lil bit scary too, but LMFs story helps
DP - ya new ipod is fab, hoping it'll distract me for the next few days hehe. Am liking the fact that we can plan things for mon now, and hoping it'll mean the dog woooooooooooont just be abandoned now.
Well spilt Oj and lemonade all over the keyboard so the O key is sticking now and giving me grief grrrhelp someone, how do i unstick it?

Congrats Guinea! Sorry you had a rubbish time in MK, I hated it when I had DD there it is an absolute dump, and had some outrageous experiences there. Always maintained I would make complaints etc but never did as I preferred to just put it out of my mind. I'm routing for a homebirth for def this time (wanted one with DD but had to transfer- another on a list of !!!! ups but hey!) So really hoping I don't have to transfer. I'm not due until June then so hopefully the 'special measures' they have introduced in the last 2 weeks will have had some effect by then if I have to go in.
Not sure it would help you or not, but you can split a sanitary towel and put an ice pop inside it to cool everything down (though if done all the time can slow healing so best to be left until really needed) Also I found sitting on two cushions, one under each cheek so everything in the middle was raised off the seat helped me. Also Arnica, Hypericum (homeopathic remedies for bruising and healing wounds, I swear this is why I healed so quickly!) and lots of lavender oil in the bath really helped me. Pouring a jug of warm water over my bit's whilst wee-ing stopped the stinging too. Hope you heal soon, nothing worse than feeling so sore, having to get up and down to little one and put a brave face on it.0 -

Som- the pains could have been contractions. Unfortunately they don't necessarily make you dilate, particularly at first. Of course very often they do though!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0

Yay for free scans! Both ours were free which was awesome. And double yay for obliging babies!
Som, it's good you finally know when things are going to happen. Be great if you go before, but at least if you don't, you know what's up.
Kindof, yeah OH mostly does smoke outside or in the kitchen, unless I'm out. He has been told in no uncertain terms though that if he keeps doing it in the house when bubs is here that he will lose an important part of his anatomy. He should quit, and knows it, but is just too lazy I think. It'll happen one day though cos it's a grim habit.

Som - Your bubs and me will have the same bday, YAY for March babies
I've got my puppy back!!!!!
Hes currently snoozing on OH's legs on the sofa, took him for a long walk earlier, then we all went out to pub for dinner, was well busy so it took ages and i dont think my seat was good for me because my bump got so uncomfy. Thought I was gonna burst at one point, then I figured maybe i just needed a wee but got to the loos, not much of a wee but I was really breathless and didnt wanna move, but my mum was talking to me and everyone was waiting to get to the cars LOL.... So waddled to the car, and then had to hold my jeans and pants off my waist to try and relieve some pressure....
Feel better now im back home, and im crackered so im hoping for a good nights sleep.
Mum has offered to take me shopping tomorrow for new maternity trousers, and theyre going to buy me and DH new wardrobes for our bedroom... god love em...
So im feeling like a very spoilt fat woman right now xxWealth is not measured by currency0 -
Congratulations Guinea. Lovely name.

So not ready!! Major shopping required.:wall:0
