well had my dating scan today and I am 15+1 so my due date is 2nd september. Was shocked that had to put £3 in a machine before hand to get a card so could have a pic of scan.

radiographer was really lovely and as they were running very late and she said I was "one of them" she printed me 7 pics and said oh dear print button got stuck!! had to hide them in my bag so receptionist didnt see. She also did a really detailed scan for 15mins as my nephew has just been born with short limbs not picked up on scans and all was fine with ours.

    Yay for your scan :)

Thanks Courgette, I think the latest they induce is 13 days, so 9 days to go if you think of it like that lol

Well the news you've all been waiting for....

Sweep was a no go :( Cervix is still high and not dialated! So all those twinges and pains etc were nothing. Still had the internal and that was ok but MW said it could be more risk to try the sweep than not as waters could break and there is a risk of the cord prolapsing....eek! Anyhoo we discussed the situation and MW thinks there is a small chance things could kick off naturaly but unlikely in the next 6 days, Soooooo were going straight for induction. Had to wait for hospital to call back and find me a slot but am going in sun evening to be induced first thing Monday!!!!! Am excited and scared now she'll be here before we know it, not ideal or what we would have chosen but as long as she is healthy at the end of it all we're happy. Oh and means am not uncomfy for that much longer cos am uber fed up now.

Well sorry took so long to post but we went food shopping after and then I got my Ipod touch :D Just had lunch so no idea when dinner will be, will probably miss it and just have a snack. so off to play with new ipod now :D

DearPru scan sounds ace! Can't wait fr my next one! I think I'm with you for team yellow too, hubby wants to know but I don't think I do. We might have to have a compromise where he finds out and I stick my fingers in my ears!

Had a mw appointment today and heard Munchkin's heart beating away :D Just love that sound :D:D:D Back at work for me today too (just in time for the weekend :p) and it was okay, the thought of it's always much worse than reality isn't it. Mw has put me on iron tablets so I might not feel like a human car crash for too much longer :T

Aww so brilliant that you heard the heartbeat. It's just amazing isn't it! Hope the iron tablets do the trick.

    Hi Som

Belated birthday wishes. I just wanted to say dont worry about the induction hope you have one like me. my cervix was high and not dialated on the morning of my induction and i had a 4 hour labour it may be a bit more painful as it could happen every quick but if you can listen to your body and breath long deep breaths it will be fine. Good luck incase i dont get to pop back on before sunday.

pm me if you have any questions lots of love xxx

woo woo , congrats guinea , just like to ask , did you have a good experience in MK general ? i hope so xx i did x

    Hi

No, I did NOT have a good experience at MK hospital and if I ever have any more children then I will not be having them there. Sorry...I know that sounds a bit cross but I was not happy!! I will tell you more at a later date.

We named our baby Johnathan. He is THE cutest thing ever!

I am still very sore as I tore but have been told that this will feel better hopefully by next week. Everyone wants to visit but being so sore and not being able to stand/walk for long is not nice!!

Hope everyone is doing okay? Any more babies I should know about?? :rotfl:
