fernlie - yay for pram, do you have a pic for us?

freebie - you make a great point about the named driver thing, I saw something about that I think on The One Show, but they were focusing on teenagers being named drivers but its the same thing. Cant help with the Icandys Mothercare refuse to sell them so not a clue!

Wonder why mothercare refuse to sell them, wonder if its a cost issue in that there isnt alot of profit to be made for them or its a quality or safety issue - john lewis sell them so cant imagine why mothercare would refuse.

Is there any you would recommend for tall people, fiesta car boot and someone with a bad back!!

freebie - no idea but when I asked one of the buyers from Head Office his words were wouldnt touch them with a barge pole! It could be something as simple as they dont have a very good warranty! I know its one of the companys bug bears with Mammas and Pappas only having 6 month warranty on such an expensive push chair. Do you have a budget in mind? The My Choices have telescopic handles, as does the buzz but its a tad more expensive. Tho they wont leave you much of a boot! I'm 5'8" and OH is 5'10" and we went for the Techno, but it may not be tall enough for your OH but we have an Escort and it fits our boot lovely. My advice would be go try some out.

Did anyone have a very strong feeling about what sex they was having before they went to their scan and found out and was you proved right or wrong? I feel 100% certain that I am carrying a girl and my mum was the same when she was carrying me.

Thanks Som, makes me think twice esp with such a big company as mothecare refusing to sell them - they have a 2yr warranty. Have had a look at the quinny buzz, not heard of my choices so will look into that and also the techno. Well budget went out the window when I went and had a quick look and anything under £250 was too low for me. Husband and I would need similar handle height as my height is all in my legs!!

I am 14wks so will leave it a bit longer before having a good look and making a decision.

Goodness me, I just Googled iCandy, their peach twin doesnt look very stable :rotfl:

Mothercare do a My3 which looks tall (I'm 5ft 7 and don't like short buggies either, they give me backache)

I agree with Som, go into shops and try things out. You're not obliged to buy anything there and then. You can always say I'm looking and payday is next week/it's bad luck to have a pram in the house before baby arrives ;)

Loads to catch up on even though I've been stalking from work. Only just got on the lappy though cos we've got OH mum round fo tea. Nommy roast chicken, veg, gravy and trifle for afters. Gotta have pud when she comes over!

EA, lucky you! Cute lil bro too, won't be too long before he can meet Lily.

Kindof, driving is definately a life skill, even if you don't get to do it very often, you never forget. (Says she whos', Aussie licence expired, and will now have to start from scratch - !!!!!!! I was 16 when I got my licence, so that's 14 years ago)

Ymake, can't comment on the gender thing, except to say 'good luck' for your scan, it's exciting to be half way there isn't it?

    COME ON BABIES!!!!!!!!

Freebie my OH is 6'3" and the quinny buzz was a good height for him it didnt hurt his back to push about unfortunately we couldnt afford it but then he probably only uses the pushchair once a month so puts up with having to bend for the one we got :-)
