Went and picked up my ebay vintage silver cross pram today! I love it!!! :D

It was exactly what I was after, not one of the coach built as I just don't have the money, but it is an early 90's carry cot on wheels. It is very kitsch in a lovely light grey and pastel pink/ green colour ha ha! Oh well it was the lovely sprung chassis that I was most concerned with, babies don't care about the colour do they! :)

CAFC- glad you managed to get some sleep hun, you've had a rough time with the tooth ache and what not, everything seems brighter after a good sleep- esp with the sun in the sky!

Not sure if it is your thing but presents I had for my birthday included:
a massage voucher- joint pressie from friends,
lovely cherry brooch- from SIL (I love cherries!!)
A lovely paper chase bag from friends,
Some maternity tops from Dorothy P's they made me feel much nicer!
Some make up from DH- urban decay my fave eyeshadow brand,
    Chocs and flowers too.....

I felt really spoilt it was lovely, though I did go and spend all my birthday money on DD, I went into H&M and they had loads of yummy hello kitty clothes. I have been collecting Hello kitty things from about the age of 7 and used to always have to order from Japan etc, now it is so readily available and I have a little girl I can spoil it makes me a happy lady! :D Little pleasures!

Just got back from a walk with DH and now I'm having my first ever RLT! It isn't too bad, thought I would hate it and have to have capsules but I'm managing. Don't think I could cope with 4 a day tho!

Kindof - you should definitely learn to drive, even if it just gives you a bit of freedom when DH is home and you can use the one car

Forgot to put in my post

what are peoples thoughts/experiences of the Icandy apple or Icandy cherry would go for pushchair and buy the carrycot (wouldnt bother with a car seat to turn into travel system as getting a seperate one)

Reason we have looked at these is because I am 5ft 9" and husband is 6ft 3" I also have a back problem and need a handle that comes to waist height and these have extendable very long handles.

need telescopic handles so they go down small again to go in car boot rather than the ones with handles that clip upwards and downwards.

We would have to look at nearly new ones as at £450-£500 new would be out of budget.

Have seen an icandy cherry 6mths old for sale for £150 awaiting photos of it but includes carrycot and also raincover.

Kindoff dont worry about phoning the midwife better call her with a few false alarms than to wait and end up having baby in the car or somewhere else you wouldnt want to.

Cafc how lovely a little puppy i would love one but just dont have the time to look after one properly and that wouldnt be fair onthe poor thing :-)

Oh my I've had far too much crap to eat this afternoon. Now I think I have indigestion :(

Have got my 20 week scan on Tuesday and i'm totally bricking it. OH is looking forward to it but I just keep on worrying about it. So wish that I could be excited about it, after all there's no point worrying until there is something to worry about but I just can't seem to get myself into that mind set. :(

fernlie - yay for pram, do you have a pic for us?

CAFC - sounds like a good nights sleep to me, hope you feel better after it :D Aww about the pressie, I keep telling OH I dont want anything but know he's gotten me something, will be intresting to see what? No idea from me am afraid, do you have hobbies or something you collect like fernlie has?

freebie - you make a great point about the named driver thing, I saw something about that I think on The One Show, but they were focusing on teenagers being named drivers but its the same thing. Cant help with the Icandys Mothercare refuse to sell them so not a clue!

Kindof - thats fab that you have two cars already, if you can afford it then def go for it, learning to drive will really make your life easier.

gym - yeay for keeping busy and getting out, make the most of it. Feel like we cant stray too far incase things kick off now am past due date!

redstar - great your getting things ticked off your list, how much do you have left to get now?

ymake - am sure the scan will be fine hun, but if it make you feel any better, alot of us got nervous before ours x

Well another 45 min walk done, wow its cold out there tho, very decieving cos it was lovely clear blue skies and bright sunshine. Just finnishing of the ironing now, and no signs of things progressing :(
