We have a Bravo already, and we have a Punto (which is like 12 years old) which needs some money spent on it but not much, OH said the other day I can have the Bravo (its 2 year old) and he will get the punto fixed and use that for work?
I checked the insurance on the bravo and OH pays £500 a year for the bravo for him, and the quote for me was £770 for a year which I didnt htink was bad seeing as that would be me just passing my test with no no claims (I think its cos I ama woman and would be 29)
Thanks xmas I am very frustrated, I dont know what to think I said to my mam this is going to make me even more reluctant to want to ring hosp when I get them again in case they are false ones again or whatever they were!
Might be an idea for your OH to insure both cars and you be a named driver, that's why me (a learner) and OH (who has speeding tickets and write offs and all sorts) have got a large volvo estate with both of us as divers £530 for the year with the AA. I was amazed tbh, because with my last car, the galaxy, we went for elephant insurance and was paying almost £90 per month, about £1,100 for the year. I guess my 25th birthday helped :rotfl:
My point is it's much more expensive to get your own policy, your OH's probably wont go up by much. He can add you on the bravo, and he can get another policy for the punto, it will save some cash.
My volvo is quite old, R reg but its still a lovely car. My galaxy was ten years old and the newest car I'd driven
I hope you get your baby soon, the suspense is killing me. God knows what I will be like :rotfl:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Not sure but i think the one at Newcastle is probably bigger than the Glasgow one! Definately worth a look if you're in any way crafty - plenty bargains to be had. They're normally twice a year - spring and then october ish for Christmas Crafting.xmaslolly76 wrote: »EA dont worry about your milk i never have a drop before any of mine are born then they are like niagra falls and wont stop producing with my DD i used to be able to squirt it across the room (dont ask how i found that out lol) :-)

Dont forget Tax and MOT Kindof! We worked out I think about £50 a month to run another car! We just dont have it, specially not when Im on mat leave. Maybe if we get a council place, then we would be paying less for rent we could afford it!
OMG I cant stop eating, had 2 sausage sarnies around 11am and now just eaten 4 hot cross buns a packet of crisps and now tucking into Tzatzika and bereadsticks lol. No doubt we'll be havin dinner in a couple of hours too!Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2

Good news on the driving Delain
Kindof you should def learn to driveEven if you can't get a car straightaway, it opens up options. I'd never be without a car now, think I'm allergic to public transport!!
Nothing happening here I'm afraid - just been busyWent out for a walk this morning then visiting friends and for lunch. Fairly sure baby's going to be late, and feeling quite pleased about that, I don't think I'm ready yet
Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -

on the car insurance front, you might want to shop around. I've had my own insurance for about 8 years and have had one claim in that time (about 4 years ago). It costs me £350 with Sainsburys per year. I added my OH as a named driver (he's learning and is 28) and had expected it to jump up astronomically - they don't charge me any extra at all! So shop around and actually speak with your current insurer, they're more likely to give you a deal over the phone than the net, especially if you quote prices from other insurers.
Bump is very active today, he's been really quite violent towards the laptop when it sits on my belly! I've also been starving and have done nothing but eat *wonders if he's burning off all my calories*0 -
Som - No visit to dentist as yet as my teeth stopped hurting. This is literally inside my ear, my teeth feel fine but im getting jaw ache from being so tense LOL Am gonna try and see both on monday if possible anyway, because if it isnt one it'll be the other LOL
I get my puppy back in 6 days! YAY!!!!! He's my fake baby
Hope you feel better soon
It may be an infection around the wisdom teeth area going down into the jaw I have had this a number of times now first time I was certain had an ear infection as the pain in my ear was horrendous so went off to gp, ear was fine, went to emergency dentist and was an infection that was around wisdom tooth that had gone into jaw - apparently stress can cause this, where the stress causes jaw to click more than normal causing rubbing etc etc - not pleasant and can totally understand your pain.0 -
Hello
been to tesco and brought the tommee tippee microwave sterilisrer for £11.25 as we dont have alot of spare work surface for a steam one.
Cant wait for my scan on friday will be nearly 15wks but least will have a more accurate due date.
With regards to car insurance discussion you can only use your no claims discount for one car and also being a named driver on a policy means that you use it less than the main driver and only minimal use otherwise if you are using it very day and main driver uses it on occasionally this is fraud and makes the policy null and void.
we got a second car last year and husband had only passed his test 2yrs before and had been a named driver on my policy and we went through admiral dual car policy and worked out by far the cheapest we are both on both policies with business use for work and husband is building up a no claims.0 -
thanks hun, will find out tommorrow.
had a decent nights sleep finally, well i say decent, fell asleep at about midnight despite ear aching, woke up once for about 5 minutes with a dull aching, and then fell asleep again and didnt get out of bed till 12 today!!!
YAY.... not much pain today either so feeling more positive
My parents should be here by about midday friday with my puppy. YAY
DH said he nearly ordered my bday present today but his card has expired so we're collecting his new one tomorrow. Anyway managed to get him to tell me what it was. Because the other day he'd said he wasnt planning on getting me anything so we can save money, which is fair enough i guess but this is my last birthday before birthday, and i've really struggled with being pregnant and i just got really upset and started crying in the post office LOL
So he felt bad, so today said it was gonna be like a bday and anniversary present in one, 15th and 18th are the dates. So he was gonna order me a big bunch of flowers which come in a vase etc. Which is really sweet and i know i sound really ungrateful but i dont really want just flowers for my bday. Theyre gonna die in a week and i only really like tulips anyway, so i told him to just buy me flowers from sainsburys, and he was like no you deserve these and then i had to be honest and tell him i just didnt want flowers for my bday......
So now ive got till 2moro to tell him what i want LOL
So ladies I need ideas, not spending much say sub £40......Wealth is not measured by currency0
