Wow, you lot can talk! I've just been trying to catch-up on the past week, and I've had to admit defeat. Please can anyone let me know if I've missed any other births (I know about LMF)?

After the midwife told me that I needed an additional scan, but that it would wait until after my holiday, I received a letter from the hospital last Saturday - just as I was leaving for our hols - inviting me to a scan last Tuesday. I had to ring them on my mobile on the Monday and explain that it wasn't possible and they got really funny with me, telling me didn't I know it was an abnormal scan etc, and I had to explain that the midwife had assured me that it would wait until after the holiday and I was nearly three hours away from the hospital.
Anyway, I've come back to another letter rearranging it for this Thursday at 9.30am so I'm really nervous now and dreading it...

redstar - great your getting things ticked off your list, how much do you have left to get now?

Not much to get now - I'm just after a gym mat and a tommee tippee bottle warmer, a couple more bottles and I need to get in some milk powder, and I think that that'll do me for now! My husband and daughter put together the changing table I ordered last weekend just before we went away and I'm starting to feel like I'm finally getting organised.

I've been feeling pretty calm and in control of things until the last few days when I've had a few quite strong Braxton Hicks and they've made me panic.... my baby's not supposed to come early!!! I've got everything arranged. DD's got one more week at nursery while I get organised, then I've got her at home with me for some mother and daughter time for 4 weeks, then the baby's going to come out via c-section on Tuesday 13th April - he can't come early and ruin my plans!!!!

Haven't taken any pics yet (and not sure how to upload!) but it is similiar to this one:

But in a light grey exterior and white with pastel shapes on the interior. I love how springy it is! :D I am very happy with it. My DD also is amazed with it, she keeps saying 'baby, rocking, rocking' :D

Try not to worry Redstar - I was getting really strong braxton hicks a few weeks ago but they've totally died down now. Hopefully baby's just testing you :)

Have you got your growth scan this week? I hope you managed to enjoy your hol and not worry too much while you were away.

I'm sure I've seen a cheap tommee tippee bottle warmer somewhere but I can't think where. Got a feeling it might have been tesco tho.

Thanks Gill - I looked on the Tesco website and they have that warmer on at half price, but they're out of stock at the moment....

We actually had a really lovely holiday and I managed to relax properly; I just tried not to think about the scan. We did quite a bit of walking and swimming which was nice. I'm hoping bubs is just testing me - but Iit did make me realise that I hadn't considered the prospect that he might make an early appearance, so I guess I probably should think about packing a hospital bag just in case...

Yeah very cosy looking inside, just need to get a mattress for it though! I've got DD's maclaren techno for when we are out and about in and out of the car as obv it is very heavy. But the problem with the Maclaren is it has no storage, and until they are bigger the baby doesn't counterbalance putting a bag over the handles! :D I'm gonna need a hand free for my 2 yr old, and all the bumph that goes with a toddler and a newborn so thought I needed something big with loads of storage and have always wanted a 'proper' pram.

Doh I missed this post where you put about scan! Just saw the one underneath. I'm sure everything will be fine with scan. I suspect that now you're on mat leave and resting and not getting stressed at work you'll find that he puts on weight very quickly.

It's impossible not to worry though - I measure 28.5 at my 30 +3 measurements, which the midwife had no issue with at all, but I'm going to be worrying until I'm back there next to make sure he's caught up a bit.

Booo for tesco being out of stock on bottle warmers - it's probably worth checkinng your local store as well tho

    Back from my mums :D

She bought me a scratchcard today, and i won £40 on it! :j:j
So kindof, buy one tomorrow for yourself, Its the luck of the due date i said :D

Had a lovely roast to :D

LMF - Finley is a great name, i wanted to call my first baby that ages ago. And cause i didn't have any babies, (and i was like 18) i called my fish it instead :D And he is sooo cute :D

Glam - Oooh i hope this means something might happen this week for me :D

Gill - I couldn't cope with 3 a day. I started gagging on it after my 2nd one lol. So i gave up :p

Kindof - Mini kievs are heaven, i once found some at a wedding on the buffet. I was so happy :)

I used to think that baby loved OH as when he spoke she moved around, but y'day with my dad she was moving around all the time when he spoke. So i got my stepdad to speak to her today and she did a massive kick. She just likes mens voices... :p

And my little bro (he's 5) was kissing my belly and saying 'come out baby' awww :)
