Evening everyone....was just popping on to see if we have had any new arrivals. Sorry you are still waiting for your little ones to put in an appearance. Am sending massive labour vibes to all who need them.

LMF...not sure if i have already said but Finlay is lush..congrats

CAFC...hope you get your pains sorted tomorrow.

Cant think of anything else now...sorry if i have missed anyone out.

I have got to try and book myself in with the gp tomorrow. I have had a blood blister on my little finger for 4 weeks now and it keeps bursting :( i have been wearing blister plasters for the past 2 weeks and it has made no difference, in fact today the area around it feels v warm and it looks yuk! A few friends tonight have said they think i am going to need it lanced :( lets hope i can get an appointment.

Weather here has been fab today but very cold. OH has spent most of the day on the allotment. I walked down to meet him, did a little bit of pottering around and then he drove me home. Feel quite sad that i cant do all the work like i did last year but suppose once bump is here i will be able to shift the excess weight quite easily (i usually dig with my stomach as i cant use my legs due to being on crutches which i obv cant do now)

Have got a bit of heartburn now so am going to have a glass of milk and go to bed.

    Take care all

    xx
Beautiful baby boy arrived 20th June 2010...Harry..weighing 7lb 4oz on fathers day :j
  • Oooh just heated up some pizza we brought back from Pizza hut earlier :D
DD's bday today and we went swimming this morning which was lovely then took dd out on her new bike and went for Pizza hut. She had a fab day and was suitably whacked when she went to bed :)

O maureen I am v jealous of curry though:(

it was so tasty! they had a thing called Aloo Tikka - was like potato wedges done in with a tikka flavouring on them - nom nom nom ... might have a go at making this for myself during the week!!

Am jealous of your pizza hut tho - not been there for ages!

Hi I haven't posted on here before but I think I need advice and all the special 'mum' websites don't seem to have many active posters! I am 33 weeks pregnant with baby 3 DS is 3.5 and DD is 12 months. My concerns are with DS, when DD was born his behaviour was diabolical for months afterwards with constant attention seeking, breaking everything in sight, pooing all over the house and rubbing it on his toys etc. I asked the health visitor for advice but she said he needs individual attention and I said he gets 99% of the attention to the point where I feel like I am ignoring the new baby and she had no suggestions.

Anyway now I am worried about it happening again and that I cannot cope because I am already completely exhausted. I tried talking to him about the new baby yesterday and he said he hates it and to make it go away. I said it was already living in my tummy and he said to pull it apart and send it back or give it to grandma. Has anyone been through this and is there anything I can do to make the situation better? So far all I can think of is buying a toy as a present from the new baby.

Does your DS go to nursery yet? Smearing is Autistic behaviour whatever the reason, my twins used to do it and we had a referral to our child development centre which helped them a hell of a lot.

I would suggest going to your GP and asking for a referral to the community peadiatrician (sp? and don't want to upset the swear filter!) and say that your son has been smearing and destructive and you'd like it looked into.

It's not an easy thought to deal with, and it may be nothing, but if he has issues (and my twins do) they can offer him (and you!) a huge amount of support, and they can help him deal with how he feels about the new baby.

ETA: The fact that he needs 100% to be the focus of your attention 100% of the time is also a good reason to get to your gp. They should definitely refer you! pm me if you want to talk ok x

    hth.

fernlie - looks good hun, I bet its gonna be tres comfy for bubs :D

redstar - thats how I felt when I had my second bleed at 33 weeks, was convinced she'd come early! Ya right! Glad the scan got sorted, sure it'll be fine x

kindof - yup have a ball, will prob have a sesh on it once dinner has settled! think some ice cream is in order first :D Oh how many RLTs are you managing atm? Im suprised have managed to keep up with 4 a day! Pleased I bought an extra box too, had to start that this morning, will have to get more too if she doesnt show soon.

I hope you had a nice bounce :)

I am doing 4 but sometimes forget and have 3, is there a limit to how many we can have? cos some days I could really have more than 4 lol

Well I am awake and up again getting sick of it really! I wonder if we go to bed to early? I cant help it though, I wont go to bed without OH and he likes to go to bed at half 8 (as did I when I was at work)

I dunno, all I know is I cant sleep all night anymore :( I know it will all change again once bean is here.

I was layng in bed talking to OH though at like half 9 last night and I was STARVING and here I am at 1.40am eating crisps, I hope what they say about eating is true and he is on his way lol

Redstar Yeah I would pack a hosp bag jsut in case :)

EA well done on the £40 lol and I will deffo get myself a scratch card today lol, I need to go up the street and see if I can get something for my mam for mothers day

The mini kieves are nommmy lol they are £1 for a pack of 12 frozen bernard matthew ones in asda and they have 4 for £3

That was dead cute of your brother lol

Hmms I havent considerd the height of my buggy so carefully eek, we had a play in toys r us when we bought it felt ok then :o

Bextea yeah I think I will go for it :) get my mam to watch beany while I learn, on the driving front when I am at work OH has to leave home with me, take me to get mam from hers, then take us both to work, then he has to go to work, then returned at night time

If I could drive then he would just go straight to work, and mam is moving to where I live so I could drive striaght to work and back so I think we would save on petrol still with two cars?

I am going to do the route planner see what AA says lol

Ok from Home to Mam 10.4 miles
    Mam to work 7.3 miles
work to his work 11.9 miles

So At the moment is 29.6 miles each way = 59.2 miles a day WOW lol

So if we have two cars it will be

Home to work for me 14.3 miles = 28.6
Home to work for OH 7.9 miles 15.8 = Total 43.8

Wow I cant believe it we really would save on petrol with two cars!! who would have thought!!!

So it would be the extra insurance costs and tax and mot to consider hmm

WOW I just did a compare the market adding myself (who I claimed to have passed my test on the first of this month) to Stuarts unsurance and More Than came up with £353 a year!!! Thats less than OH pays now!!! how is that right lol,, I did everything right

SO I would need to do the same with the punto wouldnt I and then apart from tax and mot's thats all we would pay?

2 x insurance, one on the bravo and one on the punto (with me being added to OH) and the petrol which is somehow less!

Sorry for boring you all but I m up and thre is nothing else to do, I wish I could remember the punto's reg so I could do that, I dont want to go outside, I am scared of the dark lol oh I might be able to see reg through window lol

Wow again, the punto insurance would be £207.58 (OH with me added thats fully comp, the car is only worth £400 I wonder if its cheaper third party, fire and theft) Hmm suprisginly its not I wonder why?

So there you have it a yearly combined insurance of £207.58 & £353 = £560.58 which is an added cost of £100 compare to OH's own insurance on the bravo for a year

And we would save on petrol, its deffo worth thinking about, OH bless him says he doesnt mind driving the banger to work etc lol and if if died totally then we could just get another cheap banger lol

OK I will stop talking cars now lol I would need to pay for lessons and pass first lol

Snugglepet I am sorry I dont have any advice at all this is my first baby, but I just wanted to give you (((hugs)))

Awww hugs kitkat, I totally know wha tyou mean, we had to sell out 3 litre trooper (4x4) and it was OHs frist car and he was gutted

Awww SOM those charms are lush! I want one of beany's fingerprint!!! I am bookmarkng the site!

My mam bought be a cham bracelet for my 21st and the lock broke so MIL took it to get fixed for me, well they added two links onto the end of the bracelet for some reason so now its far too big and falls off, I have really small wrists, I was just saying to OH the other day I want to get it sorted so I can wear it again cos Hanson :o have just relased some charms and I wqanted to get them, well I want a finger print one as well lol

http://www.hanson.net/site/sections/265?section_id=1 thats one fo them, if the link works

Som thanks for the tip for baby being over 3 months

Yeah Choccybike you are totally right, I hate being stuck in the house, it would be lovely if me and beany could nip off out in the car when we want. YOur day sounds lovely

Sorry about your blister conventgirl, it sounds nasty
    Thanks gill

Well its DUE DAY for me today lol :) come on elliot lol be one of the 6%!!!!

Wow its taken me 1hr and 10 mins to write this post, in my defense Ive been watching the recording of dancing on ice lol

I am well tired, but no point trying to go back to bed cos I attemoted that yesgterday and still coudlnt sleeep and OH has work in the morning, so I guess I will just nap on sofa

I am getting slight pains again like the other day, not as sterong thouhg, I am not getting my hopes up

    Morning,

Happy due date Kindof :D Lots of labour vibes, Som & EA too! Apparently 30% of babies arrive on or before due date - so statistically, one of us ought to go today since Som & EA are now late!! :)

Sorry you had a pants sleep - hope you can nap today. RE: Car insurance, reason it's cheaper with u on is that apparently couples who live together are less likely to have accidents/drive recklessly, than single males :) OH used to have high powered cars (til I arrived haha) and it was always cheaper with me on, tho I would never dare drive the cars!

KitKat, I can sympathise on the car front, pants isn't it! Funnily enough with all this car talk - we drove past a forecourt yesterday and I saw OHs old car! We loved it, were tempted to go in and ask for a test drive to relive it haha how sad, stupid thing used too much petrol to be kept :(

Snugglepot this is my first baby so no advice from that perspective, but things other have mentioned seem a good idea - helping him to feel like baby's his etc, buy a gift from him to baby and vice versa, showing him scan pics, getting him to help pick clothes. I'm sure there are books out there for the purpose of introducing new babies too, think I've heard them mentioned before?

EA yay for the scratchcard :j & baby things, sounds like a good weekend for you :D

Ymakes I was convinced from the word go that I was having a boy, bought boy things before the scan and never really discussed the possibility of having a girl. Scan suggests he's a boy :) Good luck at the scan, sure it'll be just fine, x

Redstar glad you had a nice holiday & good luck for the scan on Thursday, x Did you look on the TK Maxx site? They had some bargain playmats a week or so ago - some instore too :)

Gill in our Tesco the Pampers hamper is a white plastic box in with the nappies - can't miss it! & I'm pretty sure nappies count as baby essentials (we'd be in trouble without them!) :)

Convent hope you got the blister sorted, sounds hideous :(

LMF sorry you're not getting much sleep :( Don't worry, we'll keep you company whilst OH is out :D

Can't believe today is due date...eek, where's the time gone? He's showing no signs of arriving though so I'm gonna go out in a bit and pick up the new microwave, totally forgot to the other day, doh. Then gonna go for a wonder to the shop, see if he falls out :rotfl: OH wants to know what I want for my birthday so gonna ponder on that...really wanted a Longchamp bag with a ltd ed print on but can't find one anywhere, except eBay, where I reckon they're fake :( So dunno what else really...hmm
