gill - I'd say get a couple of newborn unless you want baby swamped, thats quite a big difference! Boo at your MIl for being selfish when she should be encouraging you.
Glam - what about labour vibes for Meand Guinea she is really overdue! Tho havent heard from her for a while.
ethelsmum - yeay for hitting that 12 week milestone
conventgirl - am jelous you have an Asda nearby with mat range our nearest one is about 1 1/2 maybe 2 hours away!
Jolene - I had a bad back before PG too, sux doesnt it! when mine was bad would either have a really hot shower and just let the water run over my back or if that wasnt convienient stick a wheat pack on. it doesnt work miracles but eases things up a bit and makes it more bearable.
mermaid - sorry no advice on nipples am afraid, tho my bump is tres itchy atm.
Well walked dog for about 40 min and that definatley set off some twingesThen was in Tesco for 90 min and home and cooked dinner and washed up, so have been on my feet a fair bit now. Something is happening but dont think its ready to kick off just yet, does prove my being on my feet theory tho. Once dinner has settled gonna get on that ball and bounce away while we watch OBEM
On a brighter note I think my spd is def getting better cos my pelvis hasnt hurt any where near as much in the last few days

Evening all
I am actually starting to dread going to bed these days. I end up in so much pain and discomfort and can not get comfortable at all.I end up getting up in the small hours and going downstairs to watch telly and barely getting any sleep at all. I guess it's good practice for when bean gets here but I wasn't expecting my sleep to be so bad this early on and the discomfort is unreal! Anyways thats my rant over.

Som Spd can improve greatly when baby drops down as it stabalises the pelvis again so sounds like its doubley good for you, you know bubs is heading in the right direction and less pain yay ;-)

i haven't a body pillow but have been using regular pillows. I have about 8 in bed at the moment and have tried various things. Problem is I find sleeping on my side awful and know i can't sleep on my back. Last night I ended up trying to sleep practically sat up but that didn't work either. I give up0 -
You can sleep on your back but you have to pop a pillow under your right bum cheek so that it tilts your uterus to the left and stops the artery to your heart being crushed. it does say that sleeping on your back can also encourage baby to go back to back so if you can spend part of the night on your side it helps to prevent that problem :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Oooh i have a nice chocolate rasberry cake/ice cream thing defrosting next to me
Hopefully it will get rid of the garlic bread taste in my mouth
Whoever said about itchy nipples (i forgot as i caught up on my ipod earlier) I have had itchy nipples pretty much through this pregnancy. And it hurts to scratch them to
They also dry out alot, i might get some aqueos cream as i dont imagine baby will like the taste of my moisturiser
I've still not had any milk leakage though, i've been told its normal but it still worrys me lol. I used to have both my nipples pierced and a GP once told me that nipple piercings cut the milk tuby things in half0 -

Jessica is lovely brednall
Cant remember what else i was going to say
Am feeling really fat at the minute. Bump seems to have had a growth spurt and everything is getting tighter. I have been trying to get a few new bits to wear but nothing looks right. I tried on a load of stuff in Asda today in the maternity range and normal stuff and it all looks horrid...i could have criedam going out tomorrow night too
xx
I haven't really worn much proper maternitu stuff - just found it all really unflattering and felt it made me look fat rather than pregnant.
I live in maternity leggings (£8 from Peacocks - sooo comfy with the built in bump band) and long tunic tops and jumper dresses with a pair of flat boots. I find they emphasize my bump and make me feel really good. Been wearing them from about 20 weeks. All the long jumper dresses I've got have been from peacocks ordinary range but I've just gone up a size and they still fit me now with loads of room to spare (31 + 5)
Oooh good point about Guinea not being on - hopefully she's with her babySounds like it might be starting for Som and Kindof - I expect at least one of you in full blown labour when I get home from work tomorrow eve
I rang the community midwives to find out about some different antenatal classes and accidentally ended up complaining about the one I went to the other night! She's emailing all the details to the head midwife then calling me back with some classes options next week. I don't feel too guilty tho as it was a shambles and the midwife handled it so badly.Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
DD1 was straight into 0-3 and didnt look lost in them. As I said she was 10lb 2 tho :rotfl:
It def depends on where they are from IMO. DD was very long but very slim, and weighed only 8lb 5oz. In a lot of stuff the newborn fitted on the tight side lengthways but was perfect widthways, and the 0-3 was just too baggy, in other stuff the newborn things wouldn't squeeze on her and would be really tight round the toes but some 0-3 fitted her perfectly. Luckily we had bought lot's of bit's from different shops and been given loads, so had a great choice.
I would have a couple of newborn even if they are just cheapies or from charity shop etc, as it's not only weight of baby to consider but shape too, and you will only know once they are born. People normally buy gifts in newborn size anyway so you will prob end up with stuff, and if too small you can take it back and swap for next size up.0 -

A good tip if you feel like you look chubby rather than PG is to wear a belt around your ribcage under your BB's and above your bump iyswim. Makes sure you look like you have a big bump rather than just eaten too much!0 -
