Kindof - your post cheered me up no end.... hope this is the real start of everything for you....
ive been awake since 1:50am and i am not impressed. i have the worst ear ache ever...... ive tried paracetamol, ive had a bath, had some warm milk, tried a hot water bottle.....and now im losing the will..... its making me tense my jaw as well which i know isnt helping....
I spent from about 5am in tears in bed, DH was awake from all my shifting about and not being in bed and i just had a meltdown and started going on about not wanting to be pregnant anymore, being a rubbish mum, being on my own in labour, my face hurting etc.....
all i wanna do is sleep!!!!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
CAFC I know exactly how you feel I spent 4 days in agony with a toothache last July ended up sleeping in a rocking chair in the living room for 1 / 2 hours a night. It's hard to function and be rational when you have had hardly any sleep, even wrose if your pregnant.
Have you tried this website

Good luck and hope you feel better soonBusy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:0 -

I dont know if I had contractions in the middle of th enight or not, but I was up and down having wee's like normal then at 3am I had dia woo woo, managed to go back to bed, but as I am typing this I totally feel the need to go again! ohhhhhh not good lol
ETA oh my god that was awful, I only just made it to the loo (sorry guys)
Gonna have a bath now, hope we have enough hot water
That could be your body emptying itself, this happened to me with the twins when I was in hospital, I was on the loo all night. My body obviously didn't want to embarrass me by pooping in labour, maybe yours is doing the same
Well I had my letter, I've got the scan on Monday which is super quick seeing as I only saw the midwife on thursday
Will let you all know how it goes :rotfl:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

EA, can you get some colostrum out if you try and express a tiny bit? I've never had leaky nipples - before OR after birth, so don't worry.
I tried squeezing my nipples and got nothing, then i tried what i think was a rubbish attempt at hand expressing. But i got nothing. I dont want to try the pump though as i read somewhere not to do it
If i dont make any milk, the hospital provides formula anyway
Damn, there i go being paranoid again
Kindof, our visiting hours are Partners - Allowed whole time of labour and after the birth for a bit. Then 9am-9pm.
Other visitors - 2-4pm & 6-8pm. But if you have any illnesses your not allowed in.
And its a ward to, they dont allow partners overnight for woman who want to feed, etc.
I hope this is the start of labour for you!
I have had nothing, all my pains are starting up, lasting a few hours and then stopping. Or i randomly get an odd one here and there :rotfl:
Going to see my Dad todayHe's picking me up at 2
Then onto a baby shop called 'So Maternity' It used to be JKUK, but they went bankrupt. And also Dads best friend is the manager
Slept ok again last night, started having pains in my hips and the top of my legs when i turn over in bed. I only cant sleep in the mornings now as my mouth constantly drys out. This is the 3rd morning i've been up before 10am, and i am not an early morning person at all :rotfl::eek:0 -
EA- you probably know this anyway and were just saying nipples for ease of explaination, but have you tried squeezing behind the nipple. If you put thumb and forefinger on the outer edge of the aureole and squeeze your fingers together that is about the right place, otherwise you will just hurt yourself and get nothing out! If nothing comes the first time don't keep squeezing harder and harder or you will just hurt yourself, but try squeezing and releasing (like milking a cow lol!)
Even if you can't get anything to come out it doesn't mean you don't have any milk. You only need a tiny amount of colostrum to nourish baby for first few days, then when your milk comes in you obviously have more. Some women never see their own milk despite successfully feeding babies, others end up leaking loads- everyone is different.0 -
Oooh I wonder if any babies will put in an appearance this weekend :j
I am off out for some child-free retail therapy this afternoon with my friend - going to look at maternity clothes I think. Might buy baby an outfit too now that I am 12weeks :j.
Have a good weekend everyone x0 -
Just tried that and nothing came out lol.
I'll justhave to see how it goes once the baby is out
Haha, i bet if i was having leaky nipples i'd be worrying i was running out of milk or something!0 -
