Afternoon...just having a quick scan through, no babies yet! So lots and lots of labour vibes for everyone who'd like them :)

EA Lily's dress is lovely, really cute. Is it by Myleene Klass?

Glad all was ok with the scan 1more, I think you deserve an extra scan though :D

KT glad to hear you & Alex love the peanut sling, as I got one from TK Maxx too the other day :) Can't wait to try it!

All the rat talk has made me feel a bit sick - can't do with anything like that, think it's the tails that send me over the edge!! We had guinea pigs when I was young and they're fine, but think I'll stick with my feline friends from now on :D

Wow Kindof you've been mega productive! I'm sure you can get everything off your list by the time Elliot arrives :D Hope all's well with the MW, x

Smartie congrats on 12 weeks, woohoo

Choc glad your DD got the school you wanted :D Is it really sad that it already worries me that we mightn't be able to get baby into the school we want?!

DP, re: nipple cream - I got the Boots Expert one, think it was a few quid, it's v good, have had real trouble with dry skin and nothing else works, so I'd rate it :)

MLSL I've been self employed for ages, but am planning to look for work/contracts mid summer ish so baby will be about 4 months, with the view to be back working around Sept/Oct time. Really lucky in that my mum will take baby full time, and if I get the flexibility of previous contracts I should be able to work from home with him a bit too. But the way the world is at the moment, who knows!

Think I might go get fitted for a nursing bra soon, just out of curiosity to see how they measure me! My back doesn't seem to have grown at all during preg, I've gone from a 36d/dd to a 36f in normal bras, so would be quite interested to see what's suggested (I have too much time and too little to do...clearly!!)

Som hope the achyness is baby engaging a bit further & getting ready - can't believe you're 2 days from due date! & no, I don't think it's rude to leave a FB message :)

Muso yay for team pink :) Must be fab getting extra scans!

MGEB nice to see you back :D

Think I'm caught up - must post more often so it's not so hard!! Been trying to keep busy - the MW yesterday was ok, he's 2/5 engaged so still nowhere near really but hey ho he'll come when he comes. Had ketones in my urine so was sent off and told to eat more chocolate!! Not back now til 40+8, scary  Then saw SJ & Alfie yesterday afternoon which was fab, he's so lovely and content :D & I've just got back from Ikea today, had to return some stuff. Debating going for a walk to go and get this money box I wanted for baby, not sure if I can be bothered :o Then out for tea tonight, I need a nap before or I might drop off at the table :o
    Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j

Does anybody have experience of meeting the anaesthetist in relation to their pregnancy? I've been told I have to meet with him because of my high BMI and the difficulties of placing epidural. Can anybody enlighten me on what will be discussed and how much choice you get?

    Congrats on the Girl!

I have no idea why you'd be meeting the anaesthetist, they do like to frighten high BMI mothers :o. But when I last saw one, he was explaining epidurals and risks and stuff when I was in rather painful labour, and all I could think about was get on with it! So it might be nice for someone to explain things to you in a nice calm environment. He might have a look at your back to see if it is in fact difficult.

just called tax credits etc , and just been told that tax credits dont take the first £100 each week of maternity pay when they work out your monies, so dont forget to tell them the date you went on maternity leave and all your new amounts etc , the thing with us is that we get help with housing and council benefits so it counter acs eah other out
Dont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec

LMF - Good luck for tomorrow, lovely midwife. I had an obstetrician write a letter to my GP "this lady is 26 weeks pregnant" when I was already 30. They just don't pay attention to the "little" details. Still at least you don't have time to worry now, get ready and enjoy!!
Oh as for the big baby thing - they ALL say that. Means nothing.

    It showed up today :)

They should be able to post it as mine went through ok :)

I collected the shoes i got on ebay for SIL yesterday, when she came to collect them she decided she didn't like them and wants to return them to the seller, which equals alot of hassle for me with emailing and then having to post them back and get a refund, but the seller doesn't accept returns on auctions, only BIN items so phew! :D

My dad just called, he's in his best friends maternity shop and offered to get me some gro bags. But as i have some he's going to take me there on Saturday to get me something :D
    So excited!

hello, sorry haven't been on here in aaaaages. Terrible excuse I know, but it really is freezing in our living room & it's way too difficult & stressy to access MSE on my mobile (unlike fb & twitter)! So with the sun on the window, I thought I'd do a little update - I'm now 26 weeks +2, which doesn't sound a lot til I think 'waaaaaargh! possibly 13-14 weeks left?!'), but still don't seem to have a bump, though I'm certainly waddling like I have one! I guess my big tummy has been plenty accomodating for the bump - and ... tis a he! We paid to have a scan (£79) at Stony Stratford (babybond) which was really nice - wish I could go give birth there instead of the depressing L&D. Got lots of pictures & discovered that he has an alarming habit of putting his hands + feet together and punching + kicking at the same time! OW! Am looking at sports classes / anger management for babies already...
