Ooh, and hope Kai's okay. Imogen had 2 head injuries in 2 years (requiring 2 ambulances) but if we make it to Christmas my average will come down (crosses fingers hopefully). It's such a shock isn't it, but don't feel guilty, we have to leave them alone at some point.

:rotfl:Less than a month to go then...
Oooh you have done really well on SW well done:D I sort of stopped a while ago, I really should start up again I want to keep weight gain under control this time too.

i'll be honest i dont bother with make up and my hair is tied back i will be going back to work in feb but until then i barely leave the house and if i do its a spot of eye liner (only if im going town and half the time i forget) dont see the point im not out to impress anyone and philips always telling mehe prefers me without makeup as he says i dont need it (really love that man sometime :rotfl:) x

See dh tells me the same thing...but I don't believe him at all and think he is only saying it to prevent me putting make-up on 'in case' I cross paths with some handsome bloke who I may want to run off with....I know I look better with make-up on, but when I am barely going out the house except for the school run/local shop I rarely bother...I am not sure I want to be like that long term iykwim

I have tried, but I really can't. It's like OCD I feel grotty if I have sat in my PJ's all day. Maybe my parents told me I was lazy as a kid or something. Even when pregnant I was sitting in jeans and t shirt uncomfy but just wouldn't change into jammies till 6pm at the very earliest. (I sleep nudey too, maybe I jsut hate PJ's?)

    Thanks Mel.

Oh, but I do love a PJ day (also sleep in the nuddy but have them to put on if necessary e.g. when parents staying). I try to reserve them for Sundays. Although it does sometimes take til lunchtime to get the three of us dressed.

I do feel better if I get chance for a shower first though. I've started leaving them on my bed with the tv on so I can grab a quick shower. It wakes me up and makes me feel a bit more of a woman IYSWIM?

to be honest you end up doing what suits you .. i believe philip when he thinks i dont need it (although sometimes i really really do) just because philip dont get jealous .. he says if i were to cheat or leave id do it so no point getting jealous ... on the school run makes me laugh i see all these mums in high heels and slap on (and its slapt on) and i just think its the school run not the catwalk not only that but zoes school is down a steep hill so funny watching them nearly trip :rotfl:..

  • Afternoon all. We had a nice trip into town - fed ducks and swans and saw some doggies. Plus have bought the remaining christmas presents. Need to think about cards, and hide DH's present (not going to wrap it up while Izzy is awake, so will have to wait till naptime tomorrow!).

Hugs for all that need them too. Particularly tara and rmac. Tara pass hugs onto your dd too, and rmac give that DH a slap ;) Had he forgotten he was babysitting, or has he not even got that excuse?

And i've just got a letter from my works payroll. I've been overpaid by £300 this financial year - and they'll take it out of my next wage. £300 is a lot to come out of my crappy part time wages - particulary Christmas month.
If it was their mistake they shouldn't be allowed to take it off you all in one go at short notice like that.

I'd be tempted to just sneak out and leave him with LO to go on that night out!
I thought of suggesting that too.

Oh forget to tell you Kai damaged himself today:( He was sat in the middle of the rug playing with a winnie the pooh toy and I nipped to grab my cuppa off dh in the kitchen, who then started talking to me about his mate...next minute there's screaming, I ran into the living room to find Kai burried under a toppled over nest of tables!!!! He had a massive bump/dent on his head, looks like the corner of one of the tables had got him right above the eybrow....poor thing, I felt sooo guilty:(
I wouldn't worry - it happens to everyone and I bet Kai's forgotten about it by now.

I also wanted to ask those of you who are SAHM's....do you bother with make-up and dressing nice etc. As I am going to be one 'officially' from January I am starting to wonder what I will do all day, and I am also wondering how people find the motivation to look nice when they don't have to go anywhere. I am not a vain or materialistic person so am not too worried, but I don't want to turn into a big fat, greasy haired, sweaty, smelly lazy cow (who eats 3 bags of frazzles everyday;))....dykwim
I don't wear makeup because I never have. (Some of my friends even threatened to jump me on my wedding day to put make up on me because I told them I wasn't planning on wearing any.) Clothing wise I don't dress much different to when I was teaching except for changes necessitated by breastfeeding (so no blouses because they don't fit and only skirts rather than wearing dresses some of the time) and that I don't always make sure I'm not wearing the same skirt on consecutive days.
