Oh, and re makeup, I only wear it if I'm going out on the town, or to a wedding or something. I've not bothered with any since before I was pregnant I don't think. Life is too short!

I can't believe how many of you sleep nudey, I wear full underwear and big, hide as much body as possible, PJ's!!!

I haven't worn PJ's since I was a teenager! I do have some for when I stop over with others but I have been known to wake up naked even if I went to bed in them!

I have, on occasion, worn knickers to bed to get a point across to hubby!! ;)

I generally wear a bit of makeup whenever I leave the house, but don't normally bother if I am staying in unless we have visitors!

MacSmiler - not managed to find your post yet, only the responses but wanted to add my  face at your hubby before I get [STRIKE]caught[/STRIKE] sidetracked by work.
D'ya wan' me to kick his butt??

Now I found it - his behaviour seems really strange. And from your reaction, perhaps a little out of character? Or are you reacting more because it is the last of several straws? Not sure what constructive advice can be offered but we will be here to moan whenever you need us to be xxx

    Butt kicking option please :D

I think a good comprimise might be some tinted mousturiser...what do you think? That way it would (hopefully) hide my horrible face a bit, but without looking ott! and easy to slap on:)

Don't you naked girlies get mega hassled from your bed-mates:) If I even show a bit of skin he is almost pouncing on me, and I HATE, HATE, HATE it when he puts his arm around me over my big fat flabby tummy...makes me cringe with what might be going through his head, I bet he wonders how he ever wound up married to such an ugly duckling.

Heh - Husband sprung it on me that he hadn't bought the nephews anything (they're his responsibility) and that I had to do it cause he was in the hospital. So I went on a mission to find things - and now he's out and came with me to give final approval on what I'd chosen.

He also neglected to tell me that one of them has a birthday today

Edit: re jammies, I wear them if it's cold or if I'm annoyed. And I almost never wear any makeup at all. My mother organised a makeup artist for my wedding and she caked me in it to the point that I felt really uncomfortable and didn't look like myself until I put my glasses back on after the ceremony.

Have you tried talking to him about these things? Maybe he doesn't appreciate how much you are struggling due to sleep deprivation and not getting time away? He also may not realise how important the mugs are to you and therefore not have thought of replacing them. A couple of years ago I actually told my husband he needed to put a glass mixing bowl on his Christmas list because he broke it when it was almost new. He's broken loads of things since we've been married (versus me breaking one thing) and at one point seemed to be breaking something every month but he also manages to break things which are important to him so I don't think he is deliberately careless. To him things getting broken is just one of those things that happens so he wouldn't really think of himself as being personally responsible for replacing them the way I automatically would if I broke something of mine. Does that makes sense? I'm not trying to make excuses for your husband, it's just that sometimes they don't see things the same way as we do so they don't appreciate that certain things might upset or annoy us. Anyway, I hope some of that is useful in some way.

thanks - I think that my comment about the mugs came across as a bit petty. My main point when I think about it is not the mug itself - more that he never takes care of anything material, but I've worked hard for these things and don't feel we should be paying for things twice IYKWIM. A little bit of patience and care doesn't cost anything.

We have spoken about how I feel - I can honestly say I don't think he gets it. I don't know how to communicate what i'm feeling as he doesn't seem to hear me anymore.

And yes - he was the one that offered to Babysit so I could go out, and he did remember, but in his words - 'his friends are more important' Mind you he'll need them once he's a divorcee or his looney wife is sectioned and he's effectively a single dad ;):o

I'm sorry to moan - I'm just frustrated and not sure how to proceed. I am planning on rationally speaking to him tonight. but If it's another case of in one ear and out another then I'm back to square one again.

I also wanted to ask those of you who are SAHM's....do you bother with make-up and dressing nice etc. As I am going to be one 'officially' from January I am starting to wonder what I will do all day, and I am also wondering how people find the motivation to look nice when they don't have to go anywhere. I am not a vain or materialistic person so am not too worried, but I don't want to turn into a big fat, greasy haired, sweaty, smelly lazy cow (who eats 3 bags of frazzles everyday;))....iykwim

I have a shower and blow dry my hair everyday as we go out most days. I only wear make-up if going out of the house - and then only tinted moisturiser, and a bitof blush and eyebrow gel. I have less smart clothes for when I'm just at home - but i find looking alright makes me feel better. Plus people always call round whenever I haven't bothered to shower/get dressed etc:rotfl:

Righty ho - LO needs dinner. Tonight it is fish with some sweet potato and I'm also trying peas :D I'll eat what she doesn't ;):D
