I wore my glasses when I got married too. I also did my own hair and ended up trying to help get my bridesmaid ready in time. (But I did know before I asked her that it would be like that and it was only because she'd hardly slept with being so nervous.)

I also did my own hair and make-up on my wedding day...I had no bridesmaids as my parents wouldn't let my sister come out to Cyprus with us (where we got married) even though we offered to pay for her.

Jillie, DH says he PM'd you today, but thinks he forgot to say he was my OH so it might have seemed a little weird, sorry on his behalf :o:D

Also, he was still logged on as him, so a few of you have been thanked twice by me today, once as me and once as acetate monkey!

Hi all, sorry for just diving in.
been to the council and they are so not going to help me, so not sure what to do now, I guess I'll have to go home...
She was so contradictory, on one hand saying it's not safe cos it's too close, then on the other hand saying I should apporach my own council
I know my council will not help, they are known for being stubborn at the best of times!
I'm just gonna go home, then dan will end up worming his way back in and it will all happen again.

susan - he broke your mason and cash mixing bowl?! that's awful. Mine is my pride and joy. I bought it for £2 in a charity shop - it still had a stickere on it and I could see it had never been used. A great bargain. :D
I was quite angry at the time (although I have recovered). He's not allowed to touch the dish which belonged to my great great grandparents because that really would be irreplaceable.

That sucks. I don't know whether it would help but I've found writing to my MP to be very helpful when dealing with an unhelpful council.

TBH I've just not got the energy to fight, I'll just go home, I have had no sleep for so long I need a proper bed, not my mums living room floor :(
