    *runs in with perfumed hugs*

I am at work, so I have make up and beads too ;) and my hair has been brushed twice today :D

3 - poor V, I do hope she is okay. And whilst Jack may be your friend, I do not think that this particular friend will be of any assistance on a Monday afternoon ;)

MacSmiler - not managed to find your post yet, only the responses but wanted to add my  face at your hubby before I get [STRIKE]caught[/STRIKE] sidetracked by work.
D'ya wan' me to kick his butt??

Now I found it - his behaviour seems really strange. And from your reaction, perhaps a little out of character? Or are you reacting more because it is the last of several straws? Not sure what constructive advice can be offered but we will be here to moan whenever you need us to be xxx

Edit again: Does he find looking after LO quite stressful/difficult? Is he trying to get out of it because he feels that he can't cope?

Tara ((HUGS)) hun, hope DD and LO are okay xx

Thanks for allowing me to moan everyone. :D If it wasn't for you lot, i'd have to moan to the dog & V - and they just don't understand me or offer sympathy!

I'm off to school, then maccy D's, then to drop DD1 at gym, then Asda, then collect DD1, then home, then get them all to bed, then tea & ironing. Rock & roll!

    Hopefully speak later. xx

I have make up and perfume too, and I aint even at work (unless work is lounging about all morning drinking free coffee and wondering what to have for lunch) :D However, the hair has been brushed once and the grease from it is enough to fry chips, its looking lovely all scraped back in a chav-tail. But then I will spend 15mins putting it on in the morning but leave the house a tip, go priorities! :D

Sami, yes it is slightly angled down, the bar stops the plates and cups sliding off. I really hope it is still there (and that MIL doesn't mess about, might just buy it myself and she can gimme the cash).

Children collected, hoovering done. House is at non-epidemic levels but bathroom needs doing. It's my hair everywhere! It's in the loo, how does it get there when it's in a pony tail (and it's head hair non foof hair before you say it!).

I'm still finding things rather tough this end.

    ...

I'm just feeling that the night out is the last in a large number of straws recently.
Have you tried talking to him about these things? Maybe he doesn't appreciate how much you are struggling due to sleep deprivation and not getting time away? He also may not realise how important the mugs are to you and therefore not have thought of replacing them. A couple of years ago I actually told my husband he needed to put a glass mixing bowl on his Christmas list because he broke it when it was almost new. He's broken loads of things since we've been married (versus me breaking one thing) and at one point seemed to be breaking something every month but he also manages to break things which are important to him so I don't think he is deliberately careless. To him things getting broken is just one of those things that happens so he wouldn't really think of himself as being personally responsible for replacing them the way I automatically would if I broke something of mine. Does that makes sense? I'm not trying to make excuses for your husband, it's just that sometimes they don't see things the same way as we do so they don't appreciate that certain things might upset or annoy us. Anyway, I hope some of that is useful in some way.

r.mac - If you can't go out then you wanna make damn sure he doesn't either!! It seems a bit unfair if he had already agreed to stay with the kids then pulls it away at short notice like that. Sorry you are having a bad time, have you told him that all these things are getting to you? Have some ((hugs)) and I hope you get things sorted out:)

3 - What a nasty thing for your work to do?? Definitely make sure they split it over the year, or at least the amount of wages you are going to get before you leave.....are you still leaving in the new year btw??

Tara - ((hugs)) for your DD, I know it is horrible sending a little baby for an op, I had to hand over ds1 when he was about 8wks old for a tummy op....the worst part was when they told me to kiss him before they wheeled him away on the huge bed, I had never even imagined he wouldn't be coming back until that point...but they do know what they are doing and he came back all fixed:D DD's LO will do too, it will all be fine and hopefully they can sort it a bit sooner than 8wks if it means he is going to have trouble feeding!!

I have just eaten 3 bags of Frazzles:o

Oh forget to tell you Kai damaged himself today:( He was sat in the middle of the rug playing with a winnie the pooh toy and I nipped to grab my cuppa off dh in the kitchen, who then started talking to me about his mate...next minute there's screaming, I ran into the living room to find Kai burried under a toppled over nest of tables!!!! He had a massive bump/dent on his head, looks like the corner of one of the tables had got him right above the eybrow....poor thing, I felt sooo guilty:(

I also wanted to ask those of you who are SAHM's....do you bother with make-up and dressing nice etc. As I am going to be one 'officially' from January I am starting to wonder what I will do all day, and I am also wondering how people find the motivation to look nice when they don't have to go anywhere. I am not a vain or materialistic person so am not too worried, but I don't want to turn into a big fat, greasy haired, sweaty, smelly lazy cow (who eats 3 bags of frazzles everyday;))....dykwim

Hugs for Tara and Rmac. Hope things buck up for you.

Mel - I'm on mat leave at the mo, so same as a SAHM. I try to make 5 mins each morning to put on some concearler and mascara (as I won't leave the house without them). When at work I wash my hair every 2 days, but it's slipping to every 3 while i'm off.

And as for stuff to do, there's plenty! We live in a permanent state of messy/grubbiness. I have quite a high threshold for that kind of thing. Although I do make sure I clean the bathrooms weekly and the kitchen more if I can. But I don't see the point in dusting and only hoover to make it look cleaner/if someone's coming!

Ooh, and hope Kai's okay. Imogen had 2 head injuries in 2 years (requiring 2 ambulances) but if we make it to Christmas my average will come down (crosses fingers hopefully). It's such a shock isn't it, but don't feel guilty, we have to leave them alone at some point.

I do. I had make up on the day after having Amber. I also get dressed every day too, even when in hospital. Once the boys are dressed I go and put on some make up, even if I'm only in jeans I still try to put some foundation and mascara on! It wakes me up and makes me feel better plus if I don't I feel lazy and tired until I do. I can't do jammie days. Sat and Sun if we are not going out I will sit till about 11-12 and then get dressed but that's as much as I manage.
