Morning all..
MFD, hope the bath helps! Was Benjamin okay overnight? xx
Rhys slept 2am to 10am too.. hurrah! Apart from Tuesday night, that's over a week of sleeping too almost 9am at leastI take it this is the luring me into a false sense of security bit, and soon enough he'll be back to waking in the night and I'll feel like death warmed up!
Had a lovely bath and hubby has now popped into the village to pick some rolls for lunch to go with the beautiful pulled BBQ pork I did in the slow cooker over night and some cough medicine for Benjamin from boots. Wonder what he wants because he is definitely on his best behaviour at the moment
Just as a warning...I had Benjamin in a lovely routine where he wasn't actually wanting to get up until 9 or 10am...and now I am back at work it is a complete pain!! I have to wake him up most mornings and he misses the extra sleep. If I did it again I would start trying to aim for a work-like timekeeping routine a little earlier.SeptemberBaby wrote: »I had one of 'those' painkillers with Poppy after my stitches! I actually took boxes of paracetamol in my labour bag and self medicated myself after the births in hospital. I just wrote down each time I took them and told the MW when she asked if I needed anything. Obviously not recommended but I had been tipped off that you can be waiting a l-o-n-g time for them to come back to you especially when in your own room!
xx
I took my own painkillers too - someone had warned me on the preg thread (possibly you SB!!) that it can take a long time for the MWs to come back to you with painkillers so I just popped some in my overnight bag.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

You're brave!
Is the son ok? And how was he expected to taste the difference?
brave or crazy? I'm not sure myselfI think it'll be ok actually because Ed is a much better sleeper than Chris (who last time we went became nocturnal ) plus as Ed id BF and BLW we don't need to take a mountain of baby feeding implements
He was fine, had to stay over night but had a sense of humour throughout. He said he just thought they'd changed the sauce a bit :rotfl:
Beccles - exciting!!
everyone else I've forgotten wat you said0 -
MFD - we love him too. Let me know if you find one.
My beautiful baby girl is now doing the most vile smelling man farts this morning!:beer:0 -

Oh my gosh, no posts in more than an hour!
OH went shopping in the West End Borders store this morning (apparently deals not as good as they should be), I took Elijah to the farmers' market, bravely no sling or stroller just carried him and let him run around now and again. All quite nice. Was gearing up for a momentous second-ever-time putting him down for sleep without OH around and without BF etc, but then she came home
Bad slummy parents alertwe were late getting off on Tuesday for the Eurostar, and in our rush we failed to clean off the highchair and kitchen floor debris from Elijah's breakfast that day. On our return we found that mice have clearly got in through the gaps at the back door and had been scavenging the highchair crumbs
I am filled with shame and also horror, and need to make sure they don't come back! Gah!
In other news my payslip has confused me, all this underpaying tax, but missing pension tax relief, and last tax year, and this tax year etc, I am pretty sure the tax code change they made this month has not done what the tax office told me it would! I am confused and gah.
Right! Surely by the time I hit post someone else will have posted!

Afternoon all,
How was your evening?
We put Jake up in our room at 9:15pm last night and didn't hear a peep out of him untl after 11 for his feed! I was really suprised because normally he doesn't settle when we put him up on his own so we normally keep him downstairs with us! Then we just had a feed at nearly 5am so not too bad!
csh - how do you manage to get your little one through to 4am from 9pm with no feeds in between? I am starting to think I have got my routines all wrong!
What times do people feed their little ones and what times do they nap etc then I can compare with mine and see if I can improve?!
I am feeling very Christmassy today! Not much shopping left to do, although lots of wrapping to contend with! How is everyone else doing?
Hope you're all ok and having a nice relaxing Saturday!

Hi MDW
two ways to post pics I think maybe
One is, if the pic is hosted somewhere on the internet already (facebook, photobucket, etc etc). In that case, click the 'Insert Image' button which looks like a tiny picture of a mountain, at the top of the post editor window, and then paste the web address in to the pop-up window.
The other is the inbuilt MSE functionality - I've not used it, but from the FAQ:
How do I use albums?
As a member, you can create Albums of images that are linked to your public profile. Albums can be created by visiting the User Control Panel, and clicking on the 'Pictures & Albums' link, and then clicking on 'Add Album'.
Each album can have a title ('Joe's Holiday to Nepal'), a description ('A bunch of photos from my recent adventure') and can be of three different types: Public, Private or Profile.- Public albums can be viewed by anyone
- Private albums can only be viewed by site staff (moderators, administrators) and your Friends and Contacts (info)
- Profile albums are viewable only by you. However, you can use the images to customize your public profile (info)
Once you've created an album you can upload images to it. Simply view the album and click on 'Upload Pictures'.
You'll have the option to give each picture a caption, and to set one image as the Album cover, which will be displayed on the public profile. To delete an album or edit the title, description or album type, click on 'Edit Album'. To delete an image, or to edit a caption or change the album cover, click on 'Edit Pictures'.
All members who have access to your album images can comment on them, in a similar way to Visitor Messages (more info). You can delete any image comments from your albums, and report inappropriate messages to moderators.
When you have uploaded a picture, you can place it in your posts by using the BB code text that is displayed below the image when you view it at full size.0 -
I am seriously confused! Although I have managed to add a pic of Jake at 2 weeks old as my avatar! Don't know if anyone can see that though?!
