Oh !!! on the subject of possible bad parenting ...... I was at B & Q today and parked next to a car which had a baby no older than Dylan in it asleep on his own, I went in, bought a couple of things and when I came out he was still on his own !!! Now, I have no problem running in to pay petrol or something , but a trip round B & Q !!!! Thats ridiculous !!!

That is a pretty good example of bad parenting I agree - I have another. I was shopping yesterday and spotted a boy of aboutr 18mths roaming the store obviously looking for his mum. I looked around where we were with him but couldn't see anyone (I had assumed mum was just in a nrearby isle) and then took him to the nearest shop assistant as the mum was obviously not about and just after TWO women appeared together not even looking all that concerned and told him off for wondering off lol. I just thought well they were obviously too busy gabbing to each other to pay attention to him but he was way too young to expect not to wonder off!!

Don't get me started on swearing, I'm sick of telling people off for saying bl00dy in front of Chris  he came in the kitchen today and said "I can't change the bl00dy channel"!!!

I smacked Chris is sainsbury's once and an old lady came up and said to him "now you deserved that" I wasn't sure how you react to that?!?[/QUOTE]

Lol :rotfl:she obviously approved !! I usually find people ignore you when your child misbehaves in public....Or make disparaging remarks under their breath in the mistaken belief that you can't hear!

Sm, she's just a fountain of knowledge and having raised 4 kids she knows all the tricks!!! Apparently, I should be taking Liam out in the pram to get him some fresh air to make him sleep in the day. My issue with this: a) has she seen the rain? b) where exactly am I supposed to go (without spending money) c) Liam will happily go to sleep with a bit of effort from me.

She asked me how he was tonight, I mentioned he was being a pain and not going off to sleep, sleeping for 30 mins and waking up screaming and then laughing at me when I went in. Apparently he is hugry, !!!!!!?? He had a bottle before he went to bed, as he always does, but no, he is hungry. This is despite me doing the same thing each night and him sleeping 11-13 for the past 6 weeks!!! She has an obsession with me weaning him. He shown no interest in food and he is perfectly content with just formula!

    Oops, Rant over!!

She's right about the first bit you know - apparantly exposure to sunlight inbetween about 11 and 3pm releases chemicals in the brain that help you sleep better. But on the second point I'm sure this is something EVERY mum has to put up with every time their child wakes alot or wont sleep well....it's the constant thing my oh used to say too and it starts to dive you  when you know you've just fed them. In my lo's case I'm pretty sure he had wind and mistook that feeling for hunger - hence the contant desire to feed.

Susan - It looks like it has been worn before and a child has spilled blackcurrant squash on it! How could she NOT of noticed stains?

    I have a major dilemma.

I just bought 10 bags of maltesears (big bags) because the shop was selling them for 15p......they are out of date, obviously, by a day though lol.

Now, do I sit and stuff my face or let OH stuff his face with them?!!

I've resisted so far, must think of the diet......but I have to walk past that shop on the way home from nursery and I'm going to be so tempted to go in and buy some more packets :rotfl: I don't even paticularly like Malteasers but it's such a bargain (and it is a bargain because OH eats them!!) ....Keira is banned from them though, until I see if her teeth IS sore, or if she has just hurt it with gnawing on a lolly.

Glam the first pic is a nice one but I love the 3rd one coz it's a bit cheeky and it looks really clear too

Susan that's a really nice dress, I'd wait for paypal. you'll probably get a full refund and get to keep the dress then.

Actually, I just checked all the labels, as all I seen in the shop was 11/09, but they don't actually go out of date until the 29th. Maybe I'll just stock up and put out bowls of malteasers at xmas! Lol. Or I'm sure you can bash them up and add them to cakes and the like?

Sorry Susan don't know what to suggest, shame as its a pretty dress. Might be best to ask on ebay thread - there are some very helpful people on there.

Glam personally I'd say the first one as it looks like a professional shot but the third one has a shadow from him - but thats just my opinion so choose which you like
