Hmm us too! I used to put the hoover on to get Violet to sleep, then one day she decided she didn't like it any more. It was real crying with tears and the bottom lip quivering.
She still doesn't like it - so OH has to hoover while i'm putting Violet to bed!:beer:0 -
Thanks Sami
.
I've done a little bit of research, and the 9mth-11yr ones do look a little too upright for my little Vi! So it may be a 9mth-4yr one for us, one that can lay down a little bit.
I only put Livs on freecycle a few weeks before I found out I was having Violet - but it was an old Britax (I think), and weighed a ton! But it could tilt back to three positions I think.
Now my other dilema is do we get two seats, or one and faff about swapping it between cars? OH will be taking Violet to nursery, and I'll be collecting her. We park in the same car park for work - so it is possible to swap the seat across - but a bit of a faff. But, this arrangement will only be for a month or so anyway.
And whats the important bit that means she's too big for the baby seat? Weight, size or age? I think she's still only ickle, she's got a lot of growing to do before her head reaches the top of the baby car seat.
are you insured on both cars? can't you just put it in one and swap keys with each other when at work?
Does your mum need a seat too? My mum has one for Chris so if both me n OH needed seat for a short time we'd use hers in one.
strength of neck is important in having them forward facing, as I said before it's best to keep them rearward for as long as possible.
With Chris I think it was his long legs that made me turn him because he could push off the seat with his legs with such strength it moved his seat0 -
Fitzio- just seen your post about daughter having difficulty passing wind we went through this with our daughter and we ended up trying colocynth granules you just give them on the tongue before you feed them if I remember rightly, you can get them in boots or some chemists do stock them but our local one didnt. We used this as well as the infacol as she was really distressed with it and the infacol alone didnt work.
Hope she feels better0 -

Why didn't I think of that simple solution! I should be blonde sometimes.
Yes, we're both insured for both - although he doesn't like me driving his because I drive like a girl.
MIL is having her on a Wednesday - so she'll need one or need to take ours.:beer:0 -

Fitz I wouldn't rule out the hairdryer after one time, she might have been thinking "I'm so not waiting for mum to dry her hair I want a cuddle and now!"0 -

Thanks Hobo. I knew there were granules for the tongue but could not remember the name of them. Will check them out.
Sami - I did try the hairdryer 4 times with a gap in between. It was very strange! Don't worry, I will try again another day. She might just be having an off day. Or maybe she prefers my hair fluffy!! I look a riot now.
And she has definitely not had much experience of the hoover!!! lol.0 -
Oh do you think it's a mother vrs daughter thing? Amber was screaming when I was buying new make up, maybe our little girls just don't want us to look pretty! :rotfl:
Oh my god, my head has just suddenly got SORE!0 -

eBay question: One of the dresses I bought from Alice (which was BNWT) has a number of stains on it. I messaged the seller but had no reply so after 11 days put in a dispute on PayPal. They then replied fairly quickly saying they had no knowledge of any marks on it when they sent it but if I sent it back they would look at it and if they judged it to be bad enough they would give me a refund (and claiming that they had replied through eBay previously). Considering the stains were very obvious and they were only saying they would consider giving a refund depending on their own judgement I was a bit dubious about doing this so I sent a message saying that some of the stains were visible on the listing photo (but only if you know they are there - otherwise you just assume they are shadows) and suggesting that as the dress is only fit for the bin it would be a waste to spend money posting it and suggested I could put some photos online for comparison. On Monday after 13 days with no response either way I gave a link to photos and said that if I had no response I would escalate it to a claim if I hadn't heard anything back by Wednesday (because I only had till today to escalate it). No response so I escalated it to a claim and now the seller has sent me a one line e-mail saying, "If you send the dress back I will issue a refund. Why is this such a problem?" My inclination is that (aside from the fact that it is outside of eBay and would be hard to prove that it was them who had promised the refund) it is probably not worthwhile responding and would be better to just leave it to PayPal now it has been escalated. What do other people think? (The pictures are here.)Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Susan - I would just stick with your dispute as they may only refund you the price you paid and not the postage or what it costs you to post it back. Could end up out of pocket - definitely stains on there though so not BNWT!!!
