  • MFD, you will look absolutely stunning in whatever you wear!

Take up DH's offer and buy something gorgeous and 'this season' and enjoy your glam party (I know its not the point but it always makes me feel better xx).

Thanks weezl - I meant to say that is why I don't think I'll loose the extra inches :)
I think my wider hips are for some kind of pregnancy/birth related reason too but when I had Edgar I lost my bum too :( so my hip measurement is the same as pre pg but I look very different!

Currys are lovely. I make a tikka masala from scratch, it's a bit of a faff but very very good!

The spicier the better in this house, jalapenos get eaten straight out of the jar :D OH adds tabasco sauce to everything, was thinking of getting him super strength habanero sauce for an Xmas stocking type thing and also a box of lucky charms :D

I hate those colemans chilli mix, it's so blah and bland. When I make chilli, the spices I use are, chilli powder, cumin, coriander, smoked paprika. That's all you need and throw in half of a whole clove of garlic, red wine optional :D

Oh sami, those ol el paso things are a rip off and have you ever tried their guacamole? OMG IT STINKS! I recoiled when I opened the lid, it's like vingerary? Sick! I go to costco and buy the big schwartz tubs of fajita seasoning, lasts forever, and sometimes I add it to chicken to make it into a spicy casserole type thing.

Im hungry now. Im making soup for dinner but its a soup pack from lidl and pathetic, parsnips, carrots, turnip and onion. I have no potatoes in the house to add to it either.

    r.mac, running your own business?

    What have I missed?!:D

A friend has approached me with an idea and I'm considering it - we are at the business plan stage. Going for low financial risk approach, but it should provide me with something for me, that fits around our set-up with LO and could have legs if it's successful. I'll disclose when its more definite. :D

MFD - I second the spanx pants although do eat first as they can be restrictive once on!!!! I wore them to my sisters wedding (with a dress on top ;) ) and almost fainted during the service. LO was only 11 wks old, but I felt good.

However, I would also take DH up on his offer to get you something new - we all want to fit into our old things, but having new things aswell is always a feel good boost you could then make him take you out to party over christmas so you get wearout of it ;)

SB - that's a great idea. My mum lives just too far away unfortunately, but if this business thing is to take off I'm hoping she may offer to come over once a week/a fortnight to help me for the day - she lives at least an hour and half away and the MIL lives an hour away and works full time. I don't mind though - I do like my independence from them! Part of me would like to consider putting LO into nursery for 1-2 sessions a week but getting a place and for such few hours is so hard round here. And then there is the expense.......

    right - I'm staying positive :D

have to go relax now :D (and clean up a tiny bit for HV coming)

:hello: all.. I caught up last night, wrote a really long post and then my laptop crashed :( OH has just nipped out to get us some lunch and Rhys is zonked out :) Having a lovely time, barely anyone else here, going swimming later. Rhys slept for 13 hours last night, waking only twice for feeds and going straight back to sleep :D

Bruno, your employer should not have changed your tax code without instruction from HMRC and they should hold all tax related records for seven years so they should still have the instruction..

    Hugs to all xx
