He and Izzy are second cousins.
His children and Izzy's children would be third cousins.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

I wish Jack would go to bed on his own  he woke up as soon as I sat down to have my tea at 8pm and after 1hr 40mins of trying to get him off to sleep and ending with him screaming his head off he's now downstairs on Daddy's lap  I feel really worn out and angry cos he wouldn't nap at all today so now he's overtired. I really think that from now on I'll take him out in the pram after his 2pm feed so that he falls asleep. Think he'll be up all night now
So, the night that I thought I was spending with OH has been spent trying to get Jack off to sleep - wouldn't have minded if I was successful!
I know "they" advise about not bathing babies every day, but we've done it every night since Caitlin was 3 weeks old and I'm pretty sure she knows her bedtime routine now which is why she settles so easily at night time. Since Wednesday, she hasn't had her dummy all night (apart from this morning when I gave it to her just before 6am I think it was, so we could get some more sleep).
Came back on as hubby was watching Thursday's Collision and I'd finished expressing but it's now finished so we're off to bed.
Night all (if there is anyone here...it's very quiet tonight!)
xxx
ETA: I don't withold her dummy from her (I think what I wrote above made me sound like a mean mummy) - we put her down without it and then only give it to her if she whinges/cries for it.
ETA2: It's not very quiet any more...everyone must have been typing at the same time as me.
I really am off to bed now!0 -
You and he are cousins once removed.
He and Izzy are second cousins.
His children and Izzy's children would be third cousins.
Thank you. I tend to stick with "cousin" for relatives who are children and "aunty/uncle" for grown up relatives.Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

Feelie - Hello! Thanks for asking after me this morning. I haven't been posting much as I find it really hard to keep up and don't feel involved, so just lurking a bit and posting occasionally if I feel compelled to and can respond timely to anyone! Holly is usually nearby so tend to be typing one handed and get worried I will accidentally hit submit!
I don't really know your background, but have picked up bits and pieces from different posts. You seem like a lovely, warm person and it saddens me that you don't have confidence in yourself and your abilities. It is clear to me that you are a super mum to Toby and a great friend to everyone else on here. I wish you could go to some assertiveness classes or something to give you confidence to do things on your own. Being alone doesn't have to mean being lonely. I hope you are tucked up in bed with Toby now and have a nice day tomorrow. xx0 -

I was going to ask the very same this morning! I even typed it then deleted it and bought them from Tesco anyway. £17.99 for four 6mth+ ones. I have £20 of vouchers to spend on Tesco Direct Baby and Toddler section by 27th Nov though so I didn't do too much shopping around. Google didn't come up with anything much..0 -
It appears OH and I have made up.. he cooked my tea and patted me on the bum while I was picking it up from the kitchen
I really hope Rhys doesn't need picking up any time soon.. I'm so stuffed I don't think I can move0 -

anyone know who replaced my lovely Edgar with a devil child? he's only slept about 1 hour total since we got up around 8:30 this morning and those sleeps were spread out over about 5 naps!!
he has a bit of a bump on his gum and has been producing stinky wiffs so not sure if he's getting a tooth
Feeding him is a pain because he keeps arching his back and tipping his head back so I have to lay him in a really weird way for him to be able to swallow and not rip my nip off :eek:0
