Sm, Can you not push Jayden's bedtime back so he goes 7-6 or 8-7? Liam usually does 8-8 but the past two nights he's gone down earlier.
ETA: I can't function with anything before 7, but after 7 at least I can get up and start the day!

 My computer was broken for two weeks and you've all talked for 215 pages! Anyone care to give me a recap on anything significant I've missed?

    Hi there

Has anyone any gems of wisdom to share on getting their newborn off to sleep. I've been wandering up and down the hallway rocking baby to sleep but that sometimes takes an age and I'm wondering if I'm building a dependency on me. Any techniques you can share woul dbe gratefully received......

    Lisa

    Hi Lisa,
I was exactly the same as you. I was adament that I didn't want a clingy baby, but just go with the flow for the first few weeks. She now goes to bed at 7pm in her cot with no problems at all, so all those cuddles to sleep in the early days definitely haven't made her dependent on me for sleeping.

Rocking Caitlin backwards and forwards (rock yourself backwards and forwards) and gently tapping her back or bottom with one hand and making quiet shushing noises helped us. I still do it in the daytime when she won't settle (she's much better going to bed at night than sleeping in the day).
  • I saw Sami, and I commented :p just the footprint would be wonderful. I'll pm you my address. :)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

How did the soup turn out, choppy? :)

Really nice. I used this recipe which I just found randomly and it made enough for us tonight and two mug-sized portions which are now in the freezer.

Argh Keira's getting right on my wick, she's going to bed in a mo. Not her fault though, she keeps running and obviously evil woman downstairs complains when Keira runs, it's a vicious circle, but Keira should be able to run if she wants!! GOD DAMMMMM IT!

Interesting, Keira thinks "Jesus" is a bad word, and tells you off for saying it.

Just away to eat my dinner now, kinda fell asleep for 3hours, whoopsies.

I'll try and catch up but it looks a lot ......
