Jam, my boy sometimes cries painfully and wriggles about uncomfortably when he needs to 'code brown' but its not coming, its always soft tho and regular so hes not constipated.
What always works for him is to stick him in his bouncer on vibrate and this seems to soothe him and shake something loose. Works every time which is why the bouncer is now referred to as the 'jobby seat'!!0 -
I managed to type my last post while feeding -I usually have to hold my boob in place but if she starts being able to stay on without me holding it I'll be able to post occasionally! She's quiet in her swing at the mo. I'm gonna stop the gripe from today and see how we go. We did try double or triple dose of Infacol as doc said use it VERY liberally as it can't harm her but we'll see how she goes with nothing. If she still crying on the gripe, it's obviously not working so I will, like Fitz says, try something new.
Thanks all for the quick thoughts, off out to Mums now but will be back on whenever I can (screaming allowing!) xxx
eta She hates her bouncer, thats why we bought the swing. Gonna try the bouncer again when shes a bit older but then, if shes screaming anyway, I suppose she might as well scream in her bouncer as anywhere. Might give that a go - thanks!
eta again - never really heard of Dentinox - will have a look in the chemist if it can be used directly. Thanks! My baby girl :kisses3: September 09 :heartsmil0 -

SM, I was £800 up last month. Frightened the life out of me, even got the bank to go through and double check everything with me. The only thing I hadn't paid was the council tax and that was cos I was in hospital having Kezia and forgot. Though I think it was being in hospital and not going anywhere that stopped me spending.
I think it just goes to prove how much I was wasting before. Hopefully it is a lesson learned for me and I will be able to manage in a couple of weeks when I drop to half pay. It has now been put aside as a cushion for when I drop to just Maternity pay.
I suggest you put it to one side until you get your next lot of money. If it still hasn't been used for anything and nothing needing it has come to light then you should treat yourself. I know you deserve it. xxxxxCross Stitch Challenge member 11 - May challenge well under way

Bottles.....Does anyone here use (or has used) Avent bottles and do you rate them? I use tt ctn but the teats are knackered on them so just spill out everywhere, I bought him new teats but he was just getting frustrated with them as not enough was coming out then:rolleyes: I ended up cutting them but thought how silly to do that so just went back to the ruined teats....anyway nursery said they have been pouring his milk into an Avent bottle and he drinks it really well. They also said that the Avent teats are a lot firmer so when he chews (as he does constantly lately) it doesn't cause the milk to flow out everywhere.......
I am nipping out shortly so am wondering whther to just buy him some Avent bottles.
just a random note to anyone - don't put the dentinox or nurophen syringes in a hot steriliser because they meltJam, my boy sometimes cries painfully and wriggles about uncomfortably when he needs to 'code brown' but its not coming, its always soft tho and regular so hes not constipated.

MFD - I don't do odd numbers either! The car radio always has to be on an even number and must be on 4 when I gt out the car
Hi JAM - Jack hasn't got colic just wind. I was using Infacol double dose but have switched to Gripe Water and must admint it's not as good but I'm going to give it another few days before I do anything like change.
I give the gripe water via a syringe and Jack loves it
Baby Massage is supposed to be good for wind as there a few tummy exercises which help move things along. Jack did a huge trump after I did his tummy ones!
Harley - glad Kezia has weed - they do like to worry us don't they?!
What a night, I have a cold, AF arrived, and my baby was screaming for a good few hours yesterday evening, Daddy took him for a while but his leg was bright red and obviously hurt him everytim he moved it. Gave him more calpol at 10.30pm and let him sleep on me, he woke at 4am, drained a bottle, slept in his cot til 7am then had 30ml and fell back to sleep til 10.30am!
So it seems he will sleep for 12hours, I'm just gonna try and move that forward to 8pm. In a much better mood today so am hoping I can get some baking done.A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -

Ooops, it's currently in the dishwasher. Guessing it'll probably be a bit of a mess when I open the door. Didn't want to make up 5lt of sterilising water just for that and a couple of medicine spoons. Should have asked first
Glam, we are signed up for baby massage on 23rd. I can't wait. I put some moisturiser on Kezia's legs yesterday and she loved it. Really must get her lying on her tummy, forgot about tummy time. Where is my memory lately???
