Evening all. How has everyone been? I've had a very busy week at work. There has been people falling out and politics and all sorts. Thank god I get that Friday feeling on Wednesdays
We've also had a very unusual evening - Izzy was exhausted this evening, was asleep by 7am, and didn't wake up just as I sat down to eat my tea. That is the first time in about 2 weeks I've been able to eat a hot dinner without having to warm it back up in the oven! With any luck that means she is tired and will sleep well tonight, rather than that we will be up half the nightIsabella Molly born 14th January 2009

OK so I have to think of a fabbo present to get SIL for her 40th which (unfortunately for her) is on Xmas day.
OH has just had a chat with her and she is having a think but he gets the impression a weekend away would be much appreciated. I would hate someone else buying me a weekend away so I'm struggling with this one.
Girls & Bruno if you were going to be surprised by someone buying you a weekend away how would you like it done?
we could buy a voucher from a certain site and she can choose a from a list
we could choose a hotel and buy a voucher for the weekend of her choice
we could buy marriot/radisson vouchers
we could do something else entirely, ideas please?
I suspect that she wouldn't want to go too far away as she has a 4 yr old who I don't think has ever been left for more than 1 night.MFW Start Sep 07 £79484, Now £587740 -

How about a locket with her initials engraved on it? and help her pick out some photo's for it. It'll be something she'll wear for years.GC July: £0/£1200 -
lol at Christmas dinner I think that might be why my mum is puttingthe pressure on too :rotfl:
MIL has bought her a chocolate advent calendar too :rotfl: Apologies for Rhys' camera faceHe doesn't always look that cross-eyed, I swear! The eye-doc-person-thingy wasn't concerned btw, he's just too little yet to have full control of his eye muscles. Going to see them again a week on Monday but the nurses assure me it's nothing to worry about, despite him looking funny in all photos!
The babes look cute together, I wonder if she'll have Rhys n Reece fighting over her in a few years
Claire that is a very clever carpet choice! Mine just depresses me to look at now, its so vile, in fact the whole house is - anyone got a spare £150k to buy me somewhere decent??... nope oh well
Elle - he obviously just wasn't keen on me shoving a camera in his face cos he wasn't cross-eyed at any other time during the afternoon!!
It is a great carpet colour - I actually thought that whilst I was there but thought I might sound weird if I said it. We have beige here. Not the best choice I've ever made

If you want a more costume jewellery-type present, maybe Dorothy Perkins?
yes, something a bit more grown up.
i know its hard at 10 cos someof the child jewellery is to young... and adult is too old.'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
