I know! I can't believe Jack is almost 10 weeks!

The last week he's been a bit of a pain - just crying for no apparent reason, very clingy and generally will only be happy if he's being held during the day  I try to lay him on his activity mat and play with him - he's OK for about 10mins and then cries!

Am hoping Baby Whisperer can shed some light and help me get him into a routine. I've started a spreadsheet of feed & sleep patterns to see if I can identify anything that I can work with.

We've not got a routine as yet, I'm waitng til hes about six weeks before I try to give him set bed times and stuff. I just follow his lead at the mo but hes very good at settling himself during the day and at night

Boy, Harry (7lbs). He is so cute. Just had my first (at home) nasty wind experience with him (arched back and shaking and all that) god it was so scary and took ages to pass.....I'm still shaking a bit myself........came on here for some comfort!

Vanilla sugar, anywhere you would use sugar and vanilla lol! Cakes :D

It's nice in teas and coffee, or to sweeten porridge.

ETA, I don't actually like vanilla essence, the smell makes me gag but I love real vanilla and can taste the difference between the real thing and the bottled stuff.
oooh i'd love to try vanilla porridge! i bet it'd be nice in hot chocolate, or coffee if i liked it

I think I'm going to dig out the vouchers for jars and packets I have and use them up to buy types that I wouldn't/ couldn't easily make then I can try Rhys on the flavours without too much faff/expense in case he doesn't like it (yet!). Sound like a plan?
thats exactly what i did :) i made my own veg ones, but i didnt make fruit ones cos i kept making them too runny and i wanted him to eat lots of different flavours, and i wasnt imaginative enough to make everything myself either!

It took me an hour and a half to settle Benjamin (including a stint downstairs whilst we had dinner) which very rarely happens. I don't know if we have messed him up with a lack of sleep and later night last night (he didn't go down until 9.30pm) or if he could sense that I needed him to go off so I could finish preparing for tomorrow but he was proper crying :( poor lamb.
it sounds to me like your gummy baby may not be for much longer ;) it is horrible when they get like that

He was Ok with settling just been last week or so. Is OK at night though it's just during the day  He tends to stay downstairs with us until his last feed around 10pm-12am but I tried putting him down earlier and doing a dream feed which resulted in him being up EVERY 3 hours rather than 4 so have knocked that on the head for now!
