Vanilla sugar, anywhere you would use sugar and vanilla lol! Cakes
It's nice in teas and coffee, or to sweeten porridge.
ETA, I don't actually like vanilla essence, the smell makes me gag but I love real vanilla and can taste the difference between the real thing and the bottled stuff.0 -
How's LO doing? Memory like a sieve is it Kieran?
Almost, Kieren with an e lol. Hes totally fab, best baby ever, I'd have ten if they were all like him. Brilliant at eating and sleeping and hardly ever cries. He's a wee star couldn't have wished for more!
How is Jack getting on? Mad to think we were due 2 days apart but theres such a big gap between the boys eh?0 -
Ya know, on the Petits Filous (I have one next to me so can spell it today!) front, it dawned on me earlier.. it's cows milk and they're not supposed to have cows milk until six months  Oops..
ETA:
Thanks Em. I'm waiting for OH to wake up so he can cut it in half for me. He sharpens all the knives really really sharp and I hate using them so I only have a little veg type knife that I use. I hate sharp knives *shudder*
I think I'm going to dig out the vouchers for jars and packets I have and use them up to buy types that I wouldn't/ couldn't easily make then I can try Rhys on the flavours without too much faff/expense in case he doesn't like it (yet!). Sound like a plan?0 -
SS - Alan Davies is mine, ALL MINE  He was on [STRIKE]Saturday Kitchen[/STRIKE] the other programme on a Sunday this morning and even hubby said 'your fella is on the telly'
I am sure I multiquoted as I was catching up but nothing was here when I got here
From memory:
Caz - congrats on the new job hun. I am sure your hubby is finding it quite hard with you being the breadwinner - no excuse, but men just don't see things the same way as we do.
We had a lovely dinner out last night...even if I did make Krystal hike the length and breadth of Wolverhampton beforehandBabies and little girls behaved very impeccably and mummies managed lots of lovely chat
3 - hope Liv did you proud today! And that you managed to get a photo of the right purple octopus
Krystal - Aimee is just cute as a button, I can't believe she ever plays you up!!
It took me an hour and a half to settle Benjamin (including a stint downstairs whilst we had dinner) which very rarely happens. I don't know if we have messed him up with a lack of sleep and later night last night (he didn't go down until 9.30pm) or if he could sense that I needed him to go off so I could finish preparing for tomorrow but he was proper cryingpoor lamb.

I know! I can't believe Jack is almost 10 weeks!
The last week he's been a bit of a pain - just crying for no apparent reason, very clingy and generally will only be happy if he's being held during the day  I try to lay him on his activity mat and play with him - he's OK for about 10mins and then cries!
Am hoping Baby Whisperer can shed some light and help me get him into a routine. I've started a spreadsheet of feed & sleep patterns to see if I can identify anything that I can work with.A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

They are not supposed to have ANYTHING until 6 months
It won't harm him! Benjamin eats them 2 at a time because 1 is not enough for him and he whinges and moans for more :rotfl:please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
