    Ah, thanks Ladybird and Em:)

I have given it to him, it's just my friend buys this funny baby pasta...so it got me thinking, is there a reason there is special baby pasta?

Probably just a way of making more money, by charging teh same amount for a teeny bag of this baby stuff as you could by a big huge bag of 'normal' pasta for.

I am going to start doing him some more home cooking now he seems to have his appetite back. I do still have a few jars of food in the cupboard, but today he gobbled down a whole jar of 4mth stuff and a whole jar of pudding...so he obviously has it back with a vengeance as he has never eaten that much before!!

We are having curry tomorrow, so I think I will make it early and see if he will have some of that with us, if not I can just use a back up jar:) I wonder if he would like a bit of naan bread with it:rotfl:

its part cooked and in smaller bits so theres no need to puree it if its made with a smoothish sauce :) i think you can just stir it into hot liquid, a bit like tipping boiling water on a pot noodle :rotfl:

  • Mel - My Anabel K book says not to bother buying baby pasta, as it is exactly the same as the normal stuff, just smaller. Doesn't stop her selling her own brand stuff though, where a teeny bag is more expensive than a normal sized bag of normal pasta.

If I'm putting it in HM food (ie mixing with a puree to make it lumpier!) I cook it for a bit longer than normal, and then just chop it up. It is a bit of a faff though - I don't know if it would be easier to break it up before you cook it, while it's still brittle?

frozen yoghurt, how stupid of me not to think of that

i didnt think you could freeze it, but then what on earth are you buying as the healthy option instead of ice cream if it isnt yoghurt :o what a goon!

seth eats 3 yoghurts a day, one after lunch, one mid afternoon and one after dinner... that will save me more than a few pennies :o do you think natural yoghurt would be ok with flavouring?

yep natural yog with flavour's what I do, as sami posted the link to my fave yoghurt I don't need to! It's £1.45 for a whole kilo of yoghurt so very:money:. I just flavour it with hm fruit purees made with fruit tinned in natural juice reduced down in a saucepan.

It takes a little longer but I'm trying to be good and stick to my £90 a month food challenge. We include the formula in that so it's pretty tight :o
