How did I just spend £70 in Lidl? I swear to blog they aren't as cheap as they once were, but I did get a big giant frozen turkey for £9, which I'm going to cook next week, and all the leftovers should make a fair few meals. I really need to start cooking diffo things, getting well bored of the same shiote!

Oh yes and my periods started last night at the party and I had to buy ONE tampon out a machine for £3. SOB
you are so right! i went in there on thurs and i came out with a butternut squash cos they were on offer, and that was it! it was so dear! i have a aldi on my doorstep though so i've pretty much memorised their prices for stuff i buy, and wherever i go i compare :rotfl:

I might not be right here but if he is having formula without the fliuds might he be getting a bit dehydrated. In which case if he really wont drink water at the mo. maybe it would be ok to add a touch of apple juice to his water if it makes him drink it and still try with the water inbetween meals.

Archie wouldn't drink water when he was little (lol still only 2 ) but eventually he did start to like it although he does prefer juice. (which is why I have such a problem with my mil as she thinks I am being a cruel mother not letting him have juice when we visit - I try to stick to juice only at meal times and if we are at hers I now drink it or chuck it to stop her then giving it to him for the next hour after).

emlou, I'd give juice if he won't take water. More important that he drinks something than any concerns about giving juice. Hopefully it is just a phase.
thank you both, i have tried him with diluted NFC juice and even the dreaded baby juices. he just doesnt seem to want them. he wont take a bottle unless he is about to sleep and he wont drink from a cup either! his poops are ok though, not hard and dont seem to cause him any distress. they were like hard balls before he was weaned and on gaviscon and anything is better than that, so i'm not massively concerned about dehydration. plenty of wet nappies etc.

might try him with water when he wakes in the night tonight :undecided

ooh glam yes you're right the deals do vary by branch, and if you need to add anything on or swap things around (say for more at the meal than at the buffet) they are open to haggling for things you add on as well i believe!

Aw that's good cos I was just thinking of having 30 at Wedding Breakfast and 50 max at Evening Reception so 30 less people - would rather have something else instead! That's good to know.
She also included a business card of a local beautician which I assume they use and am hoping she'll do cheap make up!

3 - Are you up for going to look around?

Caz - on Job :T:T

yay for the new job caz :):T:T:T

not sure how to get more variety into erin, but on the cost front I've just made nearly 20 portions of apple and cinnamon yoghurt for fergus by using a 1kg onken from costco (plain) and adding a stewed can of asda apples and spice. It's 9p a portion, I don't know if that's any better
