Oh elle, theres chocolate birthday cake left if you want a piece
Promised tia and tara I would keep them a bit too
Good luck with the phone call, I personally would try to remain calm and if you get no where with the 1st script monkey, ask to speak to a senior member of staff as you feel that you are not getting the answers you require to help you understand, if they refuse, ask them for their full name and department so you can make a complaint, and you will get the manager straight away !! (tried and tested a few times on different claim lines and it works !!)The two best things I have done with my life

In true baby style, she waiting until I was just dropping off and started to cough again... Ended up really crying so I've given 3/4s of a sachet of calpol (the other 1/4 is now decorating the front of her sleeping bag...) and changed her nappy... She's lying quietly in the cot now holding my finger through the bars... Hoping she settles for a good sleep... At least hubby's here to sort aimee out in the morning!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

This is my position, but OH believes she's read about studies linking Calpol before the age of 2 to asthma and allergy incidence... has anyone come across this?
Another 5.30am morning herehe must learn!

I'm glad your first days back are going ok. It's interesting that you can manage to be Professional MFD at work and Mummy at home, I was worried about separating them.only trouble is he keeps spitting his dummy out :mad:angelfairy wrote: »that made me laugh!!!!! although i think i am billy no mates, expect for one (you MFD:D), i have no one else's number from MSE
MM I used to get horrible calf aches and was convinced I was dying of cancer. They were just growing pains.
We started using Molly's reusables yesterday - Husband assembled the BumGenius without actually reading the instructions  and assured me that it was fine. But Molly slept from 8pm-7:30am with only one brief wake (long enough to latch on, feed furiously and fall back off fast asleep) so I didn't change her. Found her in a puddle this morning - turns out he used the night time insert *instead* of the main insert and not *as well as* the main insert. So we're trying again.
Happy days to all. I have another long and involved to do list ahead of me so may not be around.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

I haven't got anyone's number from on here either. It doesn't make me feel far away from my friends on here though. I guess it depends how we each feel about texts. I've still got rubbishy old PAYG so at 22p a text I'd rather PM you all!!!! Sugar, I liked using the snailmail to you, I hadn't handwritten a German address since I was 8 and had a pen friend
Here is an interesting article in weds guardian about standards of care in special care baby units. Thought it might be of interest

Morning all!
Glam - I meant to say yesterday congrats on picking a date for the wedding. How exciting. I loved planning my wedding. We had just about everything we went and spent a lot of money but we saved hard for it and didn't get into debt for it. I don't regret a single thing about it (apart from the stupid photographer who we ended up taking to court) but I do sometimes think "that would have been a decent chuck paid off our mortgage".
MM - how's Jas this morning? Hope you get on OK at the Drs.
MFD - I think I might have missed this whilst I was MIA. When are you going back to work? Are you looking foward to it or dreading it?
I only have Elle's number and she's stored in my phone as her proper name. I have Claire Jones' address too (as does Elle).
Elle- hope the HV visit goes OK.
We took Caitlin to a friend's fireworks party last night. She loved watching them but jumped at some of the really loud ones and then cried. I took her in the house but they had a dog which kept barking and making her cry, so I took her back outside again. She really liked the fountain ones (not sure what they're called) as they were pretty without being loud. I've just been reading last night's posts and someone (I think it was 3, sorry, my multiquote isn't working) said that they'd put their hands over their LO's ears. I didn't think about doing that. I feel terrible now.
Not looking forward to tonight as we're leaving Caitlin for the first time overnight. I feel sick thinking about it. We've got a work function of DH's to go to and Caitlin is staying at IL's all night. I trust them completely and don't have any issues with them looking after her, it just that they don't know her like DH and I do, so don't know her little ways and how to get her settled quickly, etc. DH is going to give them strict instructions. I was thinking about writing things down too (just things like her bathtime routine, that we don't pick her up in the night unless she's crying and won't settle, as 99% of the time, she just wants her dummy put back in, etc. Is that too OTT though?
Before that, we've got swimming this morning. We're going to a new swimming group this morning (£48 for 6 lessons instead of the freebie SureStart ones ) but my NCT group have been to them and apparently they're really good. I'm not that keen on the SureStart ones anymore as the pool isn't warm enough. I feel cold in it and the poor babies are shivering after about a minute, so it's not good at all.
What's everyone else got planned today?
