.. I think the worst thing anyone ever called me was "vapid". I was outraged!
 I had to Google "vapid"..
I don't recall being called either clever or stupid when I was little..(well apart from getting called names by school bullies cos I was in all the top sets for everything
).
I'm busy wrapping presents.. ya know, the ones OH is taking today  I txt him to check they got there okay and when he replied (yes, all fine), I replied with the direct "Are you still going?" but got no reply yet. My final question is going to be, would his friends drive here? (ETA: Not that I want them to - what I'm getting at is that they'd say they wouldn't drive in this weather so why would he?)0 -
Af'noon :hello:
I'll post this in here (I've put it in the Grabbits too) as I know a fair number of you are from Manchester ... We resisted the urge to buy all their stock and then put it for sale on eBay
Asda (Eastlands) in Manchester has a stock of Chicco Caddy Knapsack baby carriers for just £10 each, they normally retail around £50 (even Asda Direct has them at this price!)
The caddy backpack has an ergonomically thick padded back rest to allow maximum air circulation and comfort for the parent carrying. The adjustable and padded waist harness is coupled with shoulder straps that have been especially designed to offer maximum carrying comfort for both parent and child. The sturdy but light frame structure is in aluminium and folds almost flat for transportation or storage. A detachable pouch is located at the base of the knapsack and can be used as a belt bag. A detachable mobile phone or glasses pocket located on the shoulder strap can be removed and used separately. It has an adjustable seat height, 5-point harness, extra padded seat for babys comfort and protection, and a collapsible sun canopy with integral zip-off rain cover.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

Good to hear the decorating is coming along nicely. Kids broke up for Christmas? When do they go back?
Things going well thanks. I'm still feeling a bit unwell, but nurse Lucy is looking after me well and I think she's enjoying actually, but not half as much as me. Just a shame she won't wear the uniform I bought herLucy is here now permanently until 3rd January, although I think she is looking at moving in permanently. I think if it happens, i'll want her to keep her place, which she owns, just so she has somewhere to go if it goes wrong or moving in appears too soon. Then maybe after a while, she can either sell, rent out or if she still wants to keep...we'll see how Christmas goes, but it all feels good at the moment and it's not just the two of us that get a say
Kids are home for Christmas, like yours. Just hope i'm 100% by the day.
Hope you are well :T0 -

On the subject of 'stupid', I think if anyone called my girls stupid they'd just laugh. I've instilled the 'imagine the person being unkind to you is sat on the loo constipated' scenario.
I shall never forget the time my Brother called one of my girls an idiot because she was having trouble with her homework. I didn't even have to say 'loo' as all my girls were in fits already. Brother went mad and walked out (he knows who the head brother is)
Name calling is part of growing up, but when it's an adult doing the name calling, it's more unacceptable and should just be rejected. Most of the time it's not someone we care for anyway, so no-one should ever let it affect them, especially when we become adults.0 -
Oh I think I've said to Keira "stupid" But more like "Don't put that key in your mouth, it would be a bit silly/stupid/blood" I've never said " OMG YOU AREEEE SOOO THICK DUMB STUPID AND !!!!!!"
Thing is, my mum and step dad always told me that, and my sisters. Still do. The way they speak to each other and them are awful!
