It looks like i'm talking to myself.........but i'll carry on! :p

I've ballsed up my Asda delivery. I'd booked a slot for late Sunday, and thought i'd read that I have until Saturday pm to complete the order.
I went on late last night to try and finish it, and it said i'd lost my delivery slot as i'd not completed my order on time.

So no I need to go food shopping in RL at some point before Christmas. Is there a particularly good/bad time to go?

I remember going a couple of years back in the middle of the night on 23rd - it was great that the shop was empty - but the shelves were too.

MM Bummer about your training course - but Preston isn't far from quite a few of us so arranging to meet us could give you something to look forward to ;).

I need to get my tree up today too. I've got bin bags full of wrapped presents and no tree to put them under. I've got an urge to get a real one. We don't normally but I saw my friends the other day and it looked really nice.

On carseats, I was using the jane strata which I got with the pram and Cliodhna always hated it. I couldnt wait till she outgrew it. Bought this one a few days ago because she is still too small for forward facing, but didnt want to waste money on a rear facing when she will change again in a few months. This does both.

that looks fab, have added that to my watch list! its the same price but with strap covers
I like it though as it reclines so DD is comfy when she falls asleep.
call me dense but i dont get how these seats recline, i thought they would up against the back of the actual seat of the car?

  • Oh incase any of you are interested last day for 1st class post is Monday !! I still have a card to post, so must get it done this afternoon !!

I really should go and get dressed to take Jas to the shop for something for lunch, but I CBA to get off the sofa again now I have sat down !!

I find the best time to do the shopping BTW is 3 days before Christmas eve as its far enough away to not be so busy you cant breathe, but close enough that nothing will go out of date !! We are doing ours on Monday while Jas is at school as it is much quicker to shop without her there !!

    Morning all..

I'm currently watching OH get Rhys ready.. He's not said anything (grateful or otherwise) about the fact he's got everything laid out for him.. Somehow though he seems to think he's got time for a leisurely shower yet *sigh*

Three inches of snow on the cars outside too. I did talk to him when I went to bed - my final line was "Don't risk our Christmas" :p Dunno what he's decided yet though

Em - Did you get the cat done then?
NO, the little barstool!!! on thurs the nurse said they were there and could be plucked (i could have told her that without making the effort to go there but nevermind) but cos he is a bit ickle still she wanted me to wait, but said if he still marks then they will do him. was fine the rest of the day, then yesterday i took seths car seat off the buggy to take him to the CM's, what does he do?? ALL OVER the bl00dy thing again. he is booked for tuesday :D i'm so excited! in the meantime he is locked in seths room, seth isnt in there yet and he is contained that way :o
Oh !!!!!!!! I have just had to prise the curtains out of hubbys hands because he is sleeping on the sofa in a drunken huff, refusing to go to bed and generally being a bit wierd! He wanted to use the curtains as a blanket

We haven't swapped fergie's seat round yet. It's suitable from 0-4 and we've had it rear-facing all this time. Our seats are slanted backwards though, so he's too upright to sleep well in the car when rear facing.
am i right in thinking you have a corsa too? thats given me something else to think about then, not necessarily needing one that does lots of reclining positions cos the seats are slanted anyway

Right back for a minute, before we go and get some spongebob curtains from Argos...please pray for me as we are braving the cheshire oaks!!!!!!!

em...the car seats sort of pull outwards and upwards slightly from the bottom at the front...iygwim, so it creates a tilted back effect.

Hi 3....hope you are ok, I forgot to book my christmas slot with tesco so we are going to have to do a shop in person too...I think we are going to get MIL to come and watch the kids one night, probably tues/wed at about 10pm(ish) and go to asda then.

Hi mm, that usually happens to me, I come on everyone else leaves;)

Does anyone have experience of the MALM range from Ikea...I have picked out the 6 drawer chests for the kids room, they are £85each. Not sure when we an get them yet, but hopefully soon as the kids have NOWHERE to put their clothes!!!
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.

if you need to go middle of the day, lunchtime is usually the quietest time, or when the school run is happening! other than that, get down there early early early, and dont do it over the weekend for the love of god!!

i have a poorly boy :( he was coughing when i picked him up from the CM's last night, had descended to snotty-ness by bed time and is a bit chesty today, i can tell he isnt feeling well cos although he isnt grumpy when i picked him up and laid him on my chest he snuggled in instead of fighting to go and play, i cant stress how anti-cuddles he is usually :( we were going to go to my friends new flat tonight for dinner and a nose but i have said we wont go, and i feel guilty. i doubt he will be better later but have said if he is i will go. i could always go on my own rather than all 3 of us going though i suppose?

oh and i got a letter from the post office yesterday, well not a letter just my updated documents, they have changed my driver status to say no claims but one accident but i wasnt at fault, and have reduced my policy by £80 for the year, and have reinstated my NCD, much better, but they've still done it wrong cos i havent had an accident, and they've changed it to accident from malicious damage :rotfl: what a bunch of muppets!
