elle prob knows the law on this better than I do, but my understanding is that it's illegal not to give a woman on ML all the usual benefits of her job :) Company gym membership, free eye tests, training budget...

they generally dont know they're getting a bonus (usually £20 to spend as long as we give reciepts) til a few days before and usually have a few days to spend it x

OH's xmas party this year is super fancy. It's at night at a big fancy hotel, 3 course meal, free drinks and apparently a goodie bag thing this year.....I always feel out of place at these things, I bought a dress to wear, and I'm wearing it with leggings and heels, and thats that! No ballgown for me, it said on the invitation no jeans :rotfl: as last year when the party was held in January, with just OH's company a lot of the men (single ones) turned up in jeans and tshirt. Looked totally raggy! Could see the boss looking down at them, but then he shows up in a full kilt.....

Parking blokey was hovering near to the P&B spaces, taking down reg numbers. All the P&B spaces were taken, so I parked in a disabled one next to them and asked if it was okay. He saw the pram and winked at me, saying "You're disabled, yes?". My reply was "no, but I would be parked in one of those spaces if they weren't all double parked in them - obviously not with kids cos they wouldn't be able to get a car seat out of that gap". His reply, "no, I'm saying you are disabled, but you forgot your badge.. didn't you?" ;) Yes, yes, so I did! :p

elle I thought everyone in receipt of DLA was entitled to a badge?

Or did I make that up?

This was great timing since the previous few minutes had seen me get drenched in projectile baby diahorea. As you know fergus needs a hand excavating his poos. The beginning bits are so impacted. He then let rip with a huge arc of liquid gold, which travelled across the kitchen, all down my leg and also splatted the front of the kitchen cupboards!!!!

Don't think it applies to us.. There's a 'care' element and a 'mobility' element. We get the care one now; can't get mobility until Rhys is reassessed in a few years - think they might have to be five before you get mobility (and it's looking like Rhys will be alright in the dept :)), then you get a badge... Tia might know :)

Car parking blokey was annoyed cos it was staff using up the spaces, not patients

You get a Blue Badge if you get Higher Rate mobility, or you can apply if you think you need one.

This is the dress I got to wear to OH's thing - http://www.uttamdirect.com/products/Dotty-Dress.html - The navy one.

Unsure if I like it or not though!

If anyone has/knows someone with a bugaboo bee pram tell them to check if they have the extra brakes brackets, it's just been on the news that there was a fault that ment the brakes didn't always work
